  • Tunamornay is so much easier than it has to be, try using a packet of bacon carbonara continental pasta and sauce, cook it normally with some fresh garlic and some herbs, add a tin of tuna, some mixed frozen veg and more cheese to taste, and either put it back in the microwave or under the grill for couple of minutes to melt the cheese. This my go to meal when I don't feel like cooking or want a cheap feed that's nutritious and tasty.

                      • This sounds great, Jann! It looks (on my page anyway) like a “1” has snuck in before the can sizes of the tuna and creamed corn. Can I confirm that it’s 425g of tuna and 400g of creamed corn? Thanks!
                        ·

                          • I have often wondered why any tuna mornay recipe includes a can of tuna. I have searched and never found one that uses fresh tuna.
                            ·
                            • You could steam fresh Tuna and add to the recipe. Lemon and parsley would go well too.
                              ·
                            • I will try that. Thank you. I can get a lot of fresh tuna.

                                    • That sounds good! By coincidence, I was going to buy a can of creamed corn but then figured what would I do with it? This answers that question, so now I'll buy it.

                                      • Hi Jann R :-)). I will substitute tofu for tuna (vegetarian). Also, I will substitute coconut milk for carnation milk (lactose intolerant). I will still enjoy trying your recipe! Furthermore, I appreciate the time you took to submit your recipe.
