Delicious and hearty Beef Casserole

This is a slow braised beef with carrots, potatoes, onion and chunky mushroom casserole. This recipe is aromatic and flavorful.

Ingredients:

1kg beef stewing steak
1 large onion
1 tsp crushed garlic
4 medium carrots
2 medium potatoes
4 celery stalks
250g mushrooms
3 cups Beef stock
1 cup water
1 tbsp flour
2 bay leaves
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Dash of oil
Salt and pepper to taste

Method:

1) Cut stewing steak into cube. Fry them in oil until brown in a wok. Add onion, crushed garlic and 1 tbsp of flour. Add beef stock, bay leaves, Worcestershire sauce and water.

2) Chop carrots and potatoes. Add them to the pot. Bring it to boil and then simmer gently for 2 hours for maximum tenderness in beef.

3) Chop celery and slice mushrooms. Set them aside. Add them into the wok in the last 30 minutes.

4) I normally serve this on rice or with vegetables. Bon Appetit
