Are you proud of your country?
July 1st, Canada Day is over. Next is July 4th, America's day to celebrate their country. I am assuming that Australia and New Zealand also have a day when they celebrate theirs.
I asked if you are proud of your country. I am extremely proud of mine. I wouldn't want to be anything else but Canadian.
Tariffs have been used for years. Nothing new to us. But the second the phrase "51st state" was uttered I saw a change in my country. For years we have been the quiet, kind and polite country. True. But over the last two years I have watched this country come together in a way that I didn't think was possible. We did it quietly, with grace and with dignity. We have endured the suggestions that we don't matter, that we are nothing, that we barely exist as a country.
We have had an impact and we will continue to do so. We are by no means done. We hit our knees for NO ONE!
I am grateful to be living in a country with amazing people, cities and exquisite natural beauty. We are blessed.
I don't mean for this to be a political discussion, and I apologize to all the good and decent American people who find themselves in a situation not of their own choosing.
We all love our countries in our own way.
Tell us what is special about yours.
