The song that still echo in your mind from the first-time you heard it

With me the song is - With This Ring - by the Platters - it reminds me of my ex-wife - the only female I thought enough of - to actually ask her will you marry me.

A great tune Walter - With this Ring You To Me Are Everything by The Real Thing was top of the charts in NZ when I had my first dance with a boy. I was 13 at the school disco, and it was one of the fondest memories I have of my childhood. Pass the Dutchie by Musical Youth was another one that evokes happy times too! And of Course Michael Jackson - You Are Not Alone still to this day gives me goosebumps 🩶

I am not into the Blues as a music genre - I grow up in the Deep South during LYNCHINGS - which affected my taste in music. However, I enjoy listening to B. B. King sing 'The Thrill is Gone' - not sure this song is classified as being part of the Blues genre....

he said he was the king of the blues, i was standing right in front of the stage one night when he said it, he was a blues player, i understand your view on the blues and do know i sympathyse with you on the reason, i got red people hate issues, but my red skin lets me have way less than your black, but you gotta agree with john lennon tho Walter, what a world it would be if everyone was one, i don't care what color your skin is, i have seen the insides of both Walter, the same red, the same heart, it is where i left color and the belief in god and 2 souls

Hi boy blunder - since you love songs that ask you questions and make you think - when you have the time - listen to Billy Preston sing 'I Wrote a Simple Song', Rare Earth sing 'I Was Born to Wander, and last but not least - Carole King sing 'It's too Late'!

Once in a Lifetime by Talking Heads is a great tune and sticks with me it is written for people who wonder how they got where they are, most people are drowning in everyday matters, and I think a lot of people operate in a semi-conscious state doing what they do, we operate on autopilot and then one day and being honest you ask yourself how you got here this is why the song resonates with me

"Angie" by Rolling Stones. I was in high school and it was playing on the radio. The phone rang and my best friend told me a boy who we had gone to grade school with had just died a few blocks from me in a motorcycle crash. He was 16, and the first former classmate to die. I still think of the song and think of Christopher

Well Walter , that was such a lovely sentiment by yourself l've really had to think hard on this one ....:) This song has a lot of my heart in it being pregnant with my son. The opening line " Grandma came to see ,something she could not believe.." rings true . He was not really a happy family announcement in the start ( shall we say) as I was not married or in a good relationship. But in the end he was worth it all and more .
