  Kevin Costner was supposed to star in the 1983 classic The Big Chill, but his lost scenes have become a part of movie lore in the years since its release, heard about but never seen. They shot a whole lot of ‘flashback’ scenes staring KC as Alex the suicide victim, then they would cut back to the film. The director decided to cut the flashbacks and KC was never seen in the movie. TV shows, especially US ones, went through a phase of not having proper intros, just a two second blast of noise with the title shown. Thankfully that seems to be fading and intros are returning, although the "song" choices are often horrendous. 🙁 Of course, these days the "intro" is often stupidly 10-15 minutes after the show has started!

  Happy Days had six spin-off shows, although some lasted longer than others: Laverne & Shirley, Blanksy's Beauties, Mork & Mindy, Out of the Blue, The Fonz and the Happy Days Gang, Joanie Loves Chachi. There was also a pilot episode made for a Lenny & Squiggy spin-off (with the two characters in the army), but the full show was never made. In the 70s and 80s , growing up, the tv shows had catchy tunes. Like the Brady Bunch. Gilligan's Island , Bewitched. Charlies Angels, the Jeffersons, even Fantasy Island. Everyone watched the same channels because we didnt have much options back then. We occasionally play...whats that Show, and see who knows the most intro shows of the past, lol.

For some strange reason I still remember lyrics from old TV shows like Gilligan's Island, the Beverly Hillbillies etc. (Yes, I go that far back). My favorite TV theme was for the original Hawaii Five-O. Still keeps popping into my head occasionally.
