BLACK LIVES MATTER24-Dec-24 12:42 pm
My favorite TV series is 'The Night Stalker' (1974 - 1975). My second favorite TV series is 'The Prisoner' (1967 - 1968). My third favorite TV series is 'The Avengers' starring Honor Blackman (1961 - 1964) - she left the series after the third season. The TV series 'The Avengers' ran from 1961 - 1969!

My whole family were fans of the "Vera" series. I've seen some of them again recently and found them much more "real" than any of the new cop series. Seems just like what has happened to the ABC. They take away more and more of their funding and they can't afford good writers and actors to play them. My brother-in-law still chortles over " Fawlty Towers", and "Life of Brian" endlessly.

Never seen or heard of 'Fawlty Towers' or 'Life of Brian. I am still a fan of 'Vera' detective tv series - still watch 'Vera' detective tv series at youtube.com.

Don't watch alot of t.v. And rarely as a child. From childhood I would watch Monkey- lived the theme song" Monkey Magic " and the characters, also fond of Countdown- an Australian Music show, loads of live acts from home and abroad, both shows aired in the 70's but unsure of dates. Currently I am streaming a series called "Being human" a comedic drama with supernatural themes revolving around a ghost a werewolf and vampire( free on sbs) not bad. I did enjoy Breaking Bad and The Soprano's.

Did not like the TV series Breaking Bad - PERIOD, but I enjoyed watching the TV series The Sopranos. The other TV shows you mention - I never heard of or seen. Have you ever heard of Dick Clark's American Bandstand (in the 1960s) or Soul Train which aired from 1971 to 2006 - both are music and dance shows. FYI: I did not start watching TV - until youtube.com started airing TV shows online (free) in 2005.

I have heard of American bandstand, but not Soul train. Don't really get alot of American music shows in Australia but will check them out, love music, all genres, all eras. Did watch a few dancing competition shows, mainly " So you think you can dance" really enjoyed all the different dance types and music, but only aired here for a couple of seasons and then disappeared. I only watch ⌚ free to air or free streaming like utube, sbs. I can't afford subscriptions

I like Dexter - my favorite anti-hero on a criminal TV series from 2006 - 2013. However, never know (till today) - there were other series involving Dexter!

They did a one season follow up from the end of the first series, Dexter New Blood. Not as good as the first, but worth a watch. I haven’t seen the one that’s just been released yet, Original Sin, about him when he was younger, but I’ll be watching as soon as I can!

Prisoner 1979 (the original Australian version with Bea and Lizzie and Joan Ferguson) Wonder Woman (Linda Carter) I Dream of Jeannie Faulty Towers Open All Hours Porridge we're all my favourite classics as a kid. Absolutely Fabulous another classic British comedy. These days I'm into phycological thrillers... too many to mention but my favs are Luther The Sinner (Bill Pullman) The Harlem Coben collection are good. I've just finished watching Lincoln Lawyer which was ok. Oh and I'm also loving the Taylor Sheridan series's right now too

Hi Angie. Are you 'talking' Luther - starring Idris Elba as DCI John Luther and Ruth Wilson as Alice Morgan.... - 'very good' British TV series. Never heard of 'The Sinner' (starring Bill Pullman) or Taylor Sheridan's tv series...How you ever heard of or seen 'The Wire' (American crime TV story) - is way better than "The Sopranos' (American crime TV series) in my humble opinion :-))!

Hi Walter. Yes, I absolutely love Idris Elba and thought Luther was outstanding! I just did a search on 'The Wire' and it looks right up my alley. Thanks for that. I'm going to have a look now and see what platform I can watch it on in New Zealand. I'm looking forward to that. Here's to wishing you an amazing year ahead filled with happiness and good health 💙

I liked the TV show Bones - which is a rarity for me - I don't normally like American crime solving shows (I was born in USA) - the other crime-solving TV show made in the USA I liked is - COLUMBO.

Loved Columbo. Liked Bones till the male lead and female lead get married in the series (not in real life to each other) - the show lost its EDGE. Ever heard of TV show - Moonlighting which aired from 1985 to 1989 starring Cybill Sheperd and Bruce Willis (before he became famous in the Die Hard movie series).

I really think for regular laughs each show and for the grand finale which bought every storyline together and characters back in that you'd forgotten about ..l have to give it to Seinfeld . .. There's many other shows I loved as I am a self confessed T. V addict ! One brief one that aired 2019 which didn't continue disappointingly, was called Cleaning up ..starring U.K actress Sheridan Smith . A struggling single mum and gambling addict who found a way to work in an office as a cleaner and get inside info on the stock markets ..

Hi Liane H. I never heard of UK actress Sheridan Smith or the TV show 'Cleaning UP'. Not a fan of Jerry Seinfeld as a stand-up comedian or a fan of his TV show (Seinfeld) - just did not get his 'humor'; however, his TV show lasted nine years. Ever heard of stand-up comedian Leonard Alfred Schneider better known as Lenny Bruce.

So I haven't heard of this man but after a search he's quite an interesting comedian .. he died though the year I was born Lol! I do know Lenny Henry he's pretty good too. .. ! It's funny a lot of American humour doesn't go down well here in Oz.. we just" don't get it " as you say .. l can't stand Frasier for example .. But Seinfeld and the Simpsons ,Sex and the city ( Sarah Jessica Parker) were all huge hits.

Yellowstone on stan is well worth the watch,,, night stalker was great as was the twilight zone,,,bosch and bosch legacy great English cop shows 1883 and 1923 are both preludes to Yellowstone a little bit slow but once you have watched a bit of Yellowstone they are a necessary watch and a show called Territory Aussie mini-series was also a good watch basically an Aussie version of Yellowstone not quite the same standard but a good show, Longmire also a cop show think there is 5 seasons there i think 7 for bosch and 5 for yellowstone

You are correct - his name is Robert Taylor. Longmire's TV series was very good, but the series did not air a lot of episodes - around 10 episodes a year and one season it aired 13 episodes - often wonder why producers - stopped production of Longmire.
