An observation and a question.... I am on many survey sites and social media, and I find that the aggressive, acrimonious comments put me off a lot of forums and sites. Rewardia leaves me amazed-people are respectful to each other, can discuss different views and opinions, there is a lot of kindness and understanding. This is definitely a place I feel comfortable being fully involved in!
The question being: what is it about this site that makes it so much better? Is it median age, because there are certainly more than enough ideas and comments to go around. Very curious to hear what other people's experiences have been-good or bad-on other sites. Feeling happy!!!!

I think its because the site oozes optimism and hopefulness and some real joy.

I think its the 24 hour happy hour policy- and if you don't really partake in liquor it can be a chocolate hour..

This is the creative 'code' Mary was referring to. The key words are 'liquor' and 'chocolate' - Baileys Chocolate Luxe Liqueur X 24 hours / day = happy hour at Mary's place. (As in every hour is happy hour). All Welcome. BYO. Come as you are. See you there. (Sorry Mary, someone had to 'out' you). Cheers.

Hi Nancy and welcome...we seem to be a tolerant lot..most of us are old (and incredibly wise)...probably the other feature is that is a fairly closed community...I cannot find out how many members there are....but those who contribute and actually take part in the community are quite small...so while you obviously don't "know" anyone...you at least get to have a decent understanding of other members...they become your digital friends if you like...like Peter below...he is a great bloke but we don't talk politics....yes it works out well!

Hey there Nancy..i've learnt not to use a few naughty words or you get sent to the Rewardian Dungeon and its cold down there! but it has taught us to be creative hehe.

The only reason why Rewardian Dungeon exists, Mary C, is because of people like you. The previous punishment section, the Rewardian Naughty Corner obviously had serious inadequacies when dealing with recidivists such as yourself. Ha Ha.

This is my first computer experience where I have ever posted comments or actually ended up chatting to someone and have to say ,there are some gorgeous people on here with lots in common.could be the age similarities too being a bit older and having more manners? I really don't know, but also have seen some gobsmackingly crass comments and mudslinging between some, that (most) of us easy going Aussies would be scratching our heads in disbelief!

hello to you in lovely Canada! I had a good dr friend from there.most eccentric man but funny. I must say the Canadian accent is one of the harder one's to pull off ,it just has that subtle difference in the R's and some of the vowels to the American lingo.Tricky Ricky!

nancy b, Rewardia has a fairly strict list of what may and may not be discussed. If you upset one of their rules, your comment doesn't make the grade and you get 'grayed out'. Quite a few of us are great grannies and grand dads perhaps that is good - who knows. We all whinge about not getting surveys as we are too old, too every thing but hey that's life. Thanks for the compliment, hope you keep enjoying Rewardia.

I've seen grim comments here but the apparent general lack has to be linked to the average age of the group

It works...I haven't seen anything awful, but it is early days for me.
