Great for people with chronic illness for example who might not be able to leave home or who need frequent appointments for just scripts

I prefer in person, BUT, if I just need a script or written report I don tneed to waste his or my time, a phone call will suffice. BUT telehealth all the time, NO WAY

Depending on the reason for the appointment, an online consult can be useful and convenient. If the appointment is for repeat prescriptions or just a follow up appointment etc, then an online appointment would be fine. If you are physically unwell or in pain, an in person appointment would likely be better.

As a pensioner I don't mind a short wait but my GP has allowed far too many people to be accepted as clients before closing his books.

Ask a Doctor if they would want patients on screen or not. They might be able to get away with 2 or more patients at once. then it wouldn't fair for the rest of the community when they get even higher pay rises. I suppose I have had an online appointment before in conjunction with my GP. like talking to the professional on Zoom to save travelling costs.

For initial appointments I prefer an in person visit. Especially because if I am there I need answers. I expect at least a basic physical examination with possibility of tests ie blood, scans or some sort of in person treatment. I use telephone health already. Great for receiving results and follow up appointments. Mine are usually free, with the exception of specialists, their fees are substantially reduced in comparison to an un person visit. These options have their place. But will never replace in person visits simply because if you need a minor surgical procedure, have broken bones etc you must have treatment. That can't be done online
