I have read online some people who did the right thing got in trouble for doing so.

They realized they hadn't paid for an item and went back to the shop to pay and the shop assistant told them off for 'taking the item without paying' even tho they were returning to pay for it.

Have you got into trouble for doing the right thing?

Or is doing the right thing no longer considered a good deed anymore?
