Stocking stuffers
Rebecca K 119166829-Oct-24
Christmas is coming... Soon enough. Only 2 months away and the final countdown will be on. There are certain Christmas items that are a must-have for the stocking every year, for some it may be a certain candy treat or a favorite chocolate bar, perhaps socks and underwear the possibilities are endless. My thing is a 3 pack red package lidor chocolates, they are delicious. I have already picked them up, 1 pack for each stocking. What are your favorite stocking stuffers that you give or receive?

  • I was raised as an agnostic, and in time evolve into an atheist. I don't celebrate pagan holidays or religious holidays under any circumstances. Christmas is a pagan holiday. The concept of Christmas evolved in Scandinavian countries located in Northern Europe as a pagan holiday - where the Arctic Circle runs thru Scandinavian countries. The Scandinavian countries never fall under the control of a corrupt and decadent Roman Catholic Church which control the rest of Europe with an IRON FIST at one time - now known as the Catholic Church -The Roman Catholic Church renamed a pagan holiday - called it Christmas and used it as an opportunity to rip the poor off - the poor are financially desperate enough to believe in miracles! Why would you celebrate a pagan holiday now known as Christmas.......

    • and I guess you can prove this HOW? Most History is a scam. c/- USA the great pretender. You dont sound like a happy person.

    • One, can you read - go to any library in the world and ask a librarian for history of Christmas in the dark ages of Europe. Two, are you a psychologist or psychiatrist. NO! Then what gives you the RIGHT to question whether I am a happy person. Three, can you prove that I am not a happy person. Also, known as attacking ME not my LOGIC. Four, if most history is a scam - a quote from you - in your reply to me - how can you prove what I said about Christmas is not true. Five, do you know what an opinion is - I guess NOT - I am free to express my opinion whether you like my opinion or hate my opinion. Furthermore, your opinion did not have one fact, and your opinion read like a conspiracy theory. You stated your opinion without ONE Fact in your conspiracy theory. Last, you always have the option of NOT responding to my opinion. CIAO!

BLM doesn't follow religion so how would he know? He complains about conspiracy? Yet, he's referring to Xmas as a conspiracy! That's odd!

          • I put up a stocking for myself and for my pet kitty cat companiona nd confidante Plummy. I always drop an orange or a tangerine into the toe of the stocking and add her fave catnip treats to her stocking w/ doggie toys since Plummy hates kitty toys. I put a small box of Whitman's Chocolates into my stocking and a box of disposable eCigarettes. Xmastide is always a lonely time for us as we have no real family close by. My brother lives 250+ miles from us and never visits. He knows I cannot get to him as I do not drive and no longer own a car and my friends will not drive me that far. Besides, they have their own families and friends so Xmastide for us is a lonely and depressing and in my case very angry time!

            • Do you at least send birthday and Christmas cards? Emails or letters throughout the year? This goes both ways and has nothing to do with being shut in or a recluse. If you want effort from them, make effort from you toward them.

            • Until you are in this situation you have no idea. I do. Love on the kitty. So funny that she likes the dog toys. 😀
              ·
            • Yes, Xmas can be a sad time for many people especially as we grow older and lose those family and friend connections and other family members pursue celebrations with their own family circles. I wish you a pleasant day with your companions Jack M. You're not alone mate!

          • We always received a few nuts, oranges and apples, maybe small candy bars.

            • Just little things loke batteries for the toys and remotes. Once i put a watch ⌚ for my girlfriend in one to really surprise her. It's what she really wanted and she thought 🤔💭 8 ignored all of her hints 😆

              • Boring, just childish!
                ·
                • I don't know anyone who puts up Xmas stockings. It wasn't ever a feature or thing we did in my family growing up. I don't think it's as common in Australia these days either. Just exchanging Xmas gifts are enough for most people. I think it's about time this tradition died out as it's summer in Australia at Xmas. We don't tend to have the traditional fire places where you can hang stockings much any more. It's more a northern hemisphere thing as they have winter and hence the fire places or wood stoves. It's really irrelevant here and more American and UK tradition. And I really don't care for it!😒
