Can no one give me a some thoughts to vegans breast feeding there baby?? please because i understand a vegetarian breastfeeding there baby but i don’t get a Vegan person breast feeding there human baby. does this go against being a vegan??

tinned crap food is what is helping to make humans sick, will be same for animals....they need natural foods, be that meat or be that fruit & veggies.... Id be more concerned about any one/animal eating tinned food, instead of focussing on it being vegan or not...

Never bought can dog food. Always made their food. That way I know exactly what they are eating. Vegan or not.

It is a rather stupid idea in general ... but there are some dogs / cats / etc.) that are allergic to meat (usually beef or chicken), so a vegan pet food could be good for them, even if only as a change from time to time.

I would not give a dog fruit unless it's chopped up apple or pear. I don't think they should eat citrus fruits. I've personally never seen any dog eat fruit.

I prefer fish more these days. Brain food! Use to have some family cats that loved fish, prob was that too much taurine can be bad for cats.

Yeah nah, my beloved only gets human grade meat, seafood and veges and the odd bit of fruit. Only thing he gets from a can is plain sardines. Canned dog food is nasty.

I'd never feed my dog a vegan diet. They aren't meant to be vegan and their bodies aren't built that way. Being vegan is a choice so don't force your dog to eat the way you do.

This just proves that dogs will eat just about everything you put in front of them. Keep in mind that dogs are basically scavengers and have a metabolism designed to process anything and generally prefer a carnivorous diet.

A family friend was vegan, and convinced herself that her dog was too. So she fed it Taro, protein powder and vegan kibble. I would slip some meat to it every time I passed their place, which was consumed with gusto. I noted that the dog was eating its own excrement - now if any dog prefers to eat poop instead of its vegan meal then that should ring alarm bells !

I don't eat meat, it's a personal choice, some of my kids do and one eats fish but no other meat. I wouldn't tell anyone else that they couldn't eat meat and if parents want to bring up their children, or pets for that matter, as vegan, vegetarian or pescatarian, it is nobody elses business but theirs.

My daughter has been urged by friends to make her dog "part Vegan" but when he comes to Granma's place we do like to give him little bits of "human food" to make his life a bit more exciting.

Wild dogs are omnivorous. I do not know about our well-bred pets. One of my dogs from the past loved cooked carrot and raw lettuce and did not mind well boiled celery but only a little piece.

Dogs are carnivores, giving cooked meat is healthy for them. Cooked bones are not cause they can splinter but...regardless of your opinion...if a human want to be a vegan then go for it. But a dog doesn't have the choice of yes or no. Forcing them to do sometimes they may not want really gets to me. It's a form of slavery as far as I'm concerned.

Some fruits and vegetables are good for dogs but they can't get all the nutrients they need that way. I imagine they have to put a lot of supplements in the vegan dog food. Cats need even more protein than dogs and they aren't into veggies so much, so I think vegan cat food would really be a disaster.

Much, but not all, vegan food for humans is highly processed. We know highly processed food is bad for our health. This is surely very unhealthy for dogs & other naturally carnivorous pets, e.g. cats, & reptiles.

I pity the dog that someone tries to make vegan; that should be a crime! I do give my dog veggies (she loves green, red, and yellow peppers) fruits (no grapes or raisins; anything with a pit gets taken out first) but strictly vegan.....oh no.....cruelty to doggies everywhere; my little one would have puppy nightmares is I tried to do that!

Our lovely border collies munched through entire rose bushes ,hibiscus,camelea flowers and one of them ate 5 avocados in one sneaky secretive session whilst we were out ..except she nicely lined the stones all up on the back door mat ! Rice and boiled pumpkin were the go for upset tummies .. They loved apples and even the lily pads in the fish pond if it had a piece of fish flake food on it ! l suppose this product has a market for the odd replacement meal ,yet I keep thinking of the poor bloodhound in Shirley Valentine's movie being a vegetarian haha. Couldnt agree more am sick of having vegan pushed at me I will occasionally eat vegetarian but when I want to, ad for pet food I had a beautiful Russian Blue cat and sadly listened to people and changed his diet to vegan, within a short time he became sick and I sadly lost him have since found out that this happens when cats are fed vegan. If somebody wants to be vegetarian that is their choice but dontt force it on to me, I have had friends who didnt eat meat but we accepted each others choices.

Turning a meat eating animal into a vegan is ridiculous and quite potentially dangerous for the animal. Can you imagine a zoo feeding lions nothing but leafy greens....That would be a miracle for a start. A friend of mine raised her son to be a vegetarian and when he got to his rebellious stage he started eating chicken. Maybe just to upset his Mum. Now a days there is such a thing as a Baptist vegetarian now I had never heard of this before but it is when a person is mostly vegetarian but they can not refuse meat if it is offered to them and the meat wasn't killed for them. That is what my nephew claims to be apparently. The mind boggles these days that is for sure. I think just eat most things and be grateful you're not starving to death like some people on Earth.
