Discussion of the Day
Should buns be sold all year round?
M04-Apr-21
Easter buns of course as popular and often hit the shelves after Christmas.
Should buns, without the cross, be available to purchase all year round?

I think buns should be sold all year round is because some people will eat buns with their meals.

These buns are not something you would eat with a meal. Not a bread per se.

Yes but without the cross because Easter and the cross which represents it isn't happening all year round.

No as I only buy them for the Easter break and have raisin toast at other times as I like to keep some things special for different times of the year

They are now sold for around 3 months of every year...because people want to eat them...sell them all year round...and while you are it ...sell me turkeys all year round too...why do I have to buy several turkeys at Christmas and store them in my freezer..it is all totally bonkers..

You can get fruit filled buns and chocolate finger buns at bakeries and the bakery section of supermarkets. Hot cross buns are for Easter, don't know why they are produced earlier in the year.

No let us keep some of our traditions instead of destroying them all for what ever reason but mostly money of course.
