Sleeping with a snorer sucks!
13-Aug-20
It sounds mean but I steer clear of partners that snore. I don't want to be woken up in the middle of the night by someone gasping for breath. I understand it's not their fault. They can find another partner to put up with it. Have you ever slept with a snorer?

  • I suggest the snorer buys a gadget that clips onto the nostrils or you can have a throat operation. Both ideas will work. Look up ways to stop snoring on the web. Just need a computer, to hunt up the information!

It took me a while to work out it was him and not other occupants. I always think they be very secure to sleep so deeply.

                                                      • Yes, my late husband had sleep apnoea and he didn't believe me so I told our GP. He was immediately sent for a sleep study and he had to have a c-pap machine. I married again after he died and sure enough same thing - so this husband has a machine too.

On a lighter night (and I hope I am not being too uncouth) I had a long term partner who was a great friend of flatulence. Then my husband of 20 years proved that his friendship with flatulence was even greater. Oh no!!! I am single and sleep alone so no more Dutch Ovens!

Hi Helen. John's machine is so quiet that I don't hear it at all so I sleep better than I did before he got it. However he also has a considerable problem with flatulence as he gets older - the spare room (when we don't have visitors using it) is very attractive. Haha.....

My parents thought he was possessed the first night he was in the house. But he does like the ladies, and enjoys his nightly cuddles. certainly didn't get much of those in the house he was rescued from (RSPCA save). Making up for it now tho'.

My boy sounds like a human when he snores. He is a big toughie but has bad dreams. So he keeps me safe when walking out late and I keep him safe with cuddles. Good on you for rescuing your sweetie.

On the whole, he's a beautiful old man, with a very gentle, laid-back nature. If I could speak for him, on living where he does now, (for food, shelter/safety and excitement), I think he'd say 2 out 3 ain't bad. I think he knows he's had enough excitement to last a couple lifetimes! He gets excited around dinner time now, and sometimes at the prospect of going for a walk or a treat; that does for the day. the most he has to "worry" about today is bath days - which he hates, but does it peacebly for the treat. Dad takes him, about once a month. Mum marks the date in the calender as, "gentlemen's spa day".
