Can't really agree with you "APB". I think the vast majority do want World Peace. The problem is our Politicians don't. They thrive on Confrontation, they use it to advance themselves and think it makes them look strong. They love to interfere in other countries affairs. They love creating conflict. In no particular order: Russia's would-be dictator Putin is deliberately threatening Ukraine, China Taiwan. The USA anywhere they think there might be some financial or economic benefit to the US - They Illegally invade Iraq because they wanted to control Iraq's massive Oil reserves, England, Russia the USA and, to it's everlasting shame, Australia wanted to control Afghanistan - a country with, as yet, untapped massive Oil reserves and precious metals. They all failed. Israeli and Palestinian politicians constantly creating strife, The Chinese Dictator, Xi Xing Ping using China's newly found economic strength to bully Australia and anyone else who does not agree with him. Clowns like Australia's Tony Abbott threatening to "shirt-front" Putin! Scott Morrison delivering Australia's Sovereignty into the control of the US thereby making Australia a Prime Target for any country which comes into conflict with the USA and it's British puppets. Get rid of the current politicians and replace them with Honest, Decent Women and Men who really do want World Peace and we might have, at least initially and until they become as Corrupt and Dishonest as those they replace, some chance of achieving it.

Hoping that someone in advertising departments of stores and those making the ads wake up that they are putting financial pressure on people when they start shoving stuff down our throat that we “ need” to buy this. Christmas has lost its sparkle and it’s spend spend till the wallet runs dry. My grandmother said all she wanted for Christmas was a big box of matches so she could light the gas to boil the kettle. She had drawers full of hankies etc.

Was hoping for my granddaughter and fiancée to be with us in Qld for Christmas Day this year, however with Covid testing centers closing early and this making it difficult for those working to get tested, and now the slow results after testing, it's more likely we may not see them till the New Year. Even an extension by Qld from the 72 hrs will not help now as flights booked for Christmas Day will need to be cancelled if results do not come through in time. Maybe we do want world peace. For Christmas I like being with my family. We have to face time because one daughter and her partner and my grandson live overseas but I am grateful for the technology that allows me to be able to do that especially in these times. Nothing. We just got the best present anyway, a house. So nothing else needed. Just hoping we can get back to see our family for Christmas, all this covid testing is ridiculous. To touch 3 close friends I haven't touched for 2 years due to lockdowns and border closures but that isn't going to happen due to isolation rule changes and elective surgeries ...finally.
