My son was just having a regular check up via the phone and confirmed with the doctor that he and I are Category 1B and are scheduled to receive the "shot" in April and the 2nd shot in 3 months so need to fit the flu shot in between and that will see us taken care of. The COVID shots are being done at the local hospital, just need to ring to register, and the flu one we'll get at the pharmacy like last year.

No I have had reactions to vaccines in the past and I also don't trust the rapid production. I am not an anti vaxxer but I don't trust this one. I fear that in the future there will be increases in cancers in filtering organs and in brain cancers. Yes I will be having it once the people who are in front of me get theirs. They are health care workers (which my daughters' are), for those other frontline workers and the elderly have been given theirs in accordance with what we know. I do feel for those people who have a phobia about injections which is a proven fact. I consider it my duty to do this as it is the only way that life can return to normal. Sure there maybe side effects but this happens with a lot of injections. I just know, for a fact, that if I wasn't immunized and gave the virus to someone I would never forgive myself.

I'm starting to hear negative things about people like me in their mid-60'd with a multiple of underlying medical conditions being adversley affected by the vaccine...so I'm waiting to see! (I won't be being offered it until May anyway apparently!)

As a child care worker I was classed as an essential worker and worked all through the lockdown period last year including looking after the children of hospital staff and staff working the local quarantine allocated hotels when it was at its worst. I lasted through that, I lasted this long, I can last a bit longer without a vaccine and i honestly probably wont get it- ive never had the flu shot either, however it does concern me a bit how this might effect other people. The weird thing is though, ive had all my other shots and never had any problems getting them

I would love to have the vaccine but my Dr is a bit dubious as I have a lot of allergies to medication. the last medication I was allergic to(pencillin-blactram) I ended up in hospital with acute renal failure. If it was my decision I would take the risk and be vaccinated.

Yes, I love my family. My mum is 97, my wife & daughter have compromised immune systems. Although the vaccines were not properly tested before approval was given, it seems there are no immediate major side effects.
