I didn't realize how much something meant to me until it was gone.

There was a time when I had someone in my life who was always there - checking in on me, making sure I was okay, and just being present in a way I got used to. At the time, I didn t think much of it. I thought they would always be around.
But slowly, things changed. We stopped talking as much, messages became less frequent, and one day, it just stopped. No big argument, no clear ending - just silence.
At first, I didn t feel much. But over time, I started noticing the little things I missed - the random conversations, the way they understood me without explaining, the comfort of knowing someone cared.
It made me realize how easy it is to take people for granted when they re part of your everyday life. And how hard it is to accept it when they re no longer there.
Now I try to appreciate people more while they re still around, because sometimes you don t get a second chance to say what you wish you had said.
Has anyone else experienced something like this?
