  There aren't. There has not been a single case that has ever stood up in court in Australia to date. They have absolutely no leg to stand on. They are living in a fantasy world, expecting all the benefits of being part of society, but none of the responsibility. Maybe they need to find themselves an unihabited island somewhere and set themselves up there as as independent occupants.

I can sympathize with some of their thoughts to be honest but I know some of them go overboard with it. Some are more like Libertarians and some others seem more angry at the world and at times don't use common sense. I can't blame people for not wanting to feel trapped in a complex web of rules made by people they don't know though.

There's a group of islands in Queensland Australia, called the Sovereign Islands. Looks like a good place to live tho! Might be too nice a place for the redneck radicals. These 6 connecting islands are for the elite, or the cream of the crop. The super rich own properties on these islands and its open to people that are millionaires and even billionaires. Firstly, there is no such thing as a sovereign citizen, you cant be sovereign and a citizen , its an oxy moron, You can however be a sovereign man/woman, work in the private not accept a contract with comapnies such as fines, etc. Do your own research, , also if you really want to know more, look into Blacks Law. The media are at it again, trying to discredit those who have an innerstanding of the lore. There are many many examples of ppl successfully claiming their sovereignity, but imagine if we all knew and we didnt bow down to the establishment,, they would no longer have control over us or the way we live our lives.   I would like to assume that most people would never leave the scene of an accident they caused, but in reality, some people do. If you’re not happy with how I’ve phrased the question (not assumption) I’m happy to rephrase it in a way so as to not cause a misunderstanding. ‘What would happen if in the extremely unlikely scenario that a person who is driving an unregistered vehicle, leaves the scene of an accident where they have caused injury and/or damage? How, in this very hypothetical situation (that is not intended to cause offence to anyone) would they be held accountable for the damage they have caused? Would you be happy if someone wrote your car off and no one was able to track them down?

  Trouble is, in any group of people there is going to be good and bad. Old mate might be a great and responsible driver and doesn’t feel the need to renew his licence, but someone else, who’s only driven a car twice, may see this and think, ‘Well old mate doesn’t have a valid licence and he drives, so why should I get one’ I know corporations are evil, but that has very little to do with the fact that it would be extremely dangerous for people to be driving around without licenses and in vehicles that have not been checked if they’re roadworthy. The more that get away with it, the more dangerous it becomes. You just cannot guarantee integrity in a large group of people.

  I agree, integrity is lacking in our society, it seems to be fading even further. But its not like there is now law (lore), its following common law, without interference from a corporation. Maybe think of it this way, the first nations people have tribal law, they are accountable to their community, there are consequences, punishment and processes. By allowing a corporation the ability to control all facets of our lives we only need to account to them, hence integrity fading in our society, Common law allows the processes to continue without corporate interference, do we need a middle man to dictate how we live or are we as a society capable of determining what is best for our society, having a voice, being accontable to our community, coming together as we should be. Just one example, youth crime lately is on the rise, were allowing our judicial system to determine the punishments, which lately is almost non existent, common law allows the community a voice, based on our god given rights without the need for government interference to dictate how laws should be executed. it isnt lawless, its removing the corporations from our law, eg how taxes are collected, rules are enforced, punishment is distributed,. It would remove corporations from making laws that benefit them above the common man and their god given rights. I know its made to sound like we are removing order leaving only chaos, but reality is its removing corporations to get rid of the chaos they have created, for their benefit. Im glad we can have a discussion about it, thank you , regardless of opinions, were all entitled to a voice, I appreciate your opinion

  I appreciate your point of view too! And there is a lot I can actually agree with there. I’d love to live in a society where we weren’t ruled by greed, and I do agree that crime and punishment needs a good overhaul, especially corruption and white collar crimes. And there is definitely a lot of people about with no integrity.

Lisa is right! But its nothing new for some people to not pay registration. Many don't want to pay the excessive car rego fees. But if they were ever in a car accident and were hurt, or they hurt someone else then they would be in trouble. I've known of a couple of people that had no rego on there cars. Just report them to the police if you know who they are and their car plate number. People have been doing this for years... and its not like they are part of a radical group or something like in America. They are just simply bludgers of society. The same with the junkies who make out they are addicted to drugs so they can keep getting the disability pension as they don't want to work. I knew of someone like that over 20 years ago, he made out he had a bad back, doubtful; then spent his days boozing and taking drugs, at the expense of the taxpayers. There are alot of fake DSP people out there in Australia.

We have laws to protect people and if some one thinks they are above our laws and that our laws do not apply to them then they should leave our country and should not be allowed back in ever. The police chased the man that killed the young woman to Indonesia and deported him back to Australia to face trial for murder. Thank goodness they did. A crime is a crime no matter where it has been committed.

It would be nice if it would actually work but it wont, we need basic rules to follow (like don't kill and steal etc) and should all abide by them, but in some cases (like with Australia being so over-taxed), I can see why people are cross and don't want to abide by some laws. If they lived completely outside society, just existing on a piece of land tand and didn't use any services like roads, electricity, health etc. They wouldn't be asked to pay tax, get licenses etc but they couldn't participate in any of the benefits either.

  I think that’s completely different. Non-binary people aren’t trying to evade taxes, they just don’t define themselves as either a man or a woman. Sometimes this has a medical reason behind it and sometimes it doesn’t. Either way it doesn’t affect you or I, doesn’t hurt anyone and they are still subject to the same laws as everyone else.

It really doesn't matter what I or anyone else thinks because we all know it is a ridiculous position to take, you just can't claim to be sovereign because it suites your purpose at the moment. For example trying to justify breaking the law or get something from someone else that is not yours, as in stealing, or squatting. What really matters is that these people are dealt with under the law in the same manner the rest of us las abiding citizens are dealt with and not given any special treatment.Edited 08-Feb-23 22:08pm

I have never heard about this to be honest. I think it is just a way for people to not pay taxes and stay rich while everyone else does and struggles.

Are we talking 'rich or super-rich' individuals - who don't pay taxes, registration fees, or have valid licenses (to operate an ethical business) - it is call 'capitalism'. If you are a 'firm believer' in the merits of capitalism - isn't this a shining example of capitalism and something we should all 'aim' for in life?

  No. If anything, by default of their stance, they are self declared fascists. They declare they are their own sovereign identity - and not part of our free trade, merit based society.. (AKA capitalism)

  The super rich don't need to claim to be sovereign citizens; they get away with paying next to nothing in taxes etc because they are so rich. This sovereign citizen thing is an American invention that failed to catch on and, from the way it is described, it is mainly right winged, extremist, conspiracy theorist Trump like supporters ROFL. It has also failed to be upheld in a court of law so, regardless of what these people think, they are subject to the laws of their nations.Edited 08-Feb-23 06:46am

  That is a very good point! The super rich get away with all kinds of crap under laws that favour them already, and can use their money to influence law-makers to make decisions to help them get away with more. I actually wasn’t referring to them, but a few people popping up in Australia recently that are driving without licenses, in unregistered vehicles and saying they don’t need to abide by those laws. And big billionaire owned media companies just love running these stories so we can focus on fighting amongst ourselves instead of focusing on who is really screwing us over. I guess they definitely got me to refocus for a bit.

  I think your spreading lies! Its not a right-wing thing at all. The media make it out to be. The left are just as guilty, if not more guilty of avading taxes and other legal responsibility. Since Trump is no longer in power, then how come people are still doing it? Answer that one? TRUMP didn't start this and it was going on long before trump got into power.

Well, when you think that most Americans think its ok to bear arms, i think its the same thing. They believe in their Universal rights to do this and that. Its not new, you can go back centuries to find radicals of all persuasions.

I think those people should be prepared to not have any healthcare or hospitals - if they get sick or hurt, they should be entirely on their own. They should not be able to use any service that exists due to tax funding. I feel these people must have no moral compass and have the "it's only about me and the heck with everyone else attitiude".
