Church, religious and politics are very fertile grounds for wealth and control, that’s thousands of years in history. The Catholic Church organisations are one of the wealthiest in the world. They certainly have a lot of believers/ followers/ donors. Why those in power would like to open up the control to others? Especially when the infrastructure discourages women to be part of it from the grassroots level.

hmmm not that I remotely gaff, but men rule this world, and rule all banks, media, big pharma, medical services and govts, and religious organisations, so I do not think anytime soon is a female going to get 'elected' as pope.

I think it would be a really big switch considering the nature of the church overall, but it would definitely be a more modern way of thinking.

Where is this invisible entity? We see these sick children suffering. I have had cancer therefore I do understand the treatment just to keep them alive until we can do more research to cure these cancers. I do not believe in a mythical being unless they are Greek and we can see the statues and work that they have undertaken, but there is nothing concrete to say that there is a GOD:: and why should we worship a person who is no longer alive? I believe that "Christ said do not worship idols" and what we see in all of the So-called Christian Churches effigies of this CHRIST and we celebrate his ascension to the cross and there is nothing written to say that he carried the cross to his death. My motto is one of Rudyard Kipling's,( Do unto others as you would wish to be done, )this is a good thing to live by, I have lived by this all of my life and I have met all from every slice of society and I do not distinguish from colour or creed. One small fun item. I was in my studio potting for an order, when I heard a knock on the door, I answered thinking it was my client. But it was not, it was two people who were religious folk. I told them that I was rather busy filling an order. As they left I was asked "Should we shut the door: I replied yes thinking that they would just pull the door as they had found it. But no they pulled the bolt across and locked me in. Luckily for me, I had a second door that led to our pool area and I could get out and I did have a landline I did go to church but I could not reconcile what I was preached in the bible and the treatment of others. I was denied access to our Christmas party because I had a missing stamp in my book, luckily for me someone came to my aid, but I have not forgotten this, I was maybe 6/7 andEdited 03-May-25 21:59pm

Never know if woman can be ordained as a Pope or not. Look at in the early centuries, women are not allow to go out to work. Now, you see women work equally as men. In fact, it is quite common to see men changing diaper and cooking in today society. In all of my family member husband are the one cooking doing the cooking.

I'm not Catholic, but the Bible says women should not preach or become a minister. Too many Catholics seem to worship a pope like he is God. Why tell your sins to a priest (he's just a man!) instead of Jesus? There is no need for a "middle man". God hears your prayers through Jesus. No one can take away your sins except Jesus Christ if you accept Him into your heart as your Personal Savior. Read the King James Bible. God bless everyone.
