Are we going overboard with PC emotions & not using caring, common sense? I recently did a first aid refresher course & it was stressed throughout the course to ask permission to "touch" an injured conscious person! And ask if you can help them. Would you say no?
A form I had to fill in for a procedure asked if the nurse was to hold my hand for comfort, would I be OK with that! What has happened to the natural, compassionate touches to let a person know, hey you are OK?
