I know books aren't as popular perhaps as they were...and it shows in people's spelling and the horrible typesetting elsewhere...so how about setting up a list of the best books you have ever read...so that everyone else never misses out by accident?

I'll start you off..... John Kennedy Toole wrote a comic novel...and in the "old days" there was no self-publishing...so he sent the manuscript to loads of publishers...who all rejected it...and in the end the poor man killed himself...his mother however carried on in his place...found a publisher...and the book ended up as winner of the 1981 Pulitzer prize for fiction...which shows you what publishers know
