It has been awhile I thought I would update on my progress. I am 8 pounds shy to be in onderland as they call it. I began at 258 pounds when I started. I am at 209 pounds now

What do you find more soothing? Heat Bags are obviously quicker to organise when you re in pain or feeling cold. But I ve found hot water bottles keep their warmth longer
BLM
I will admit I am old (not dead - yet - I do have one foot in my grave) - I do not use either (my guess will be heat bags would be safer). If I am feeling cold - I will reset my smart thermostat. If I am in pain - I will scheduled a video chat with a nurse (with my health plan)! Unfortunately, you can't take your money with you when you die - I will spend my money making my last days (or years) enjoyable!

Do you agree? I guess we could also send their followers and fans up there too. Elon Musk could shoot them into the sky.

Why would you subject Mars to such punishment? There's no mirrors, make up or labels, and worst of all no social media!!!!!!! What will they do?

Online shopping and express postage is great when it works, especially during lockdown. But with so many more parcels and packages being sent via post -- the care of fragile items by post office staff and couriers seems almost non-existent. I decided to order some bone china, they arrived smashed. I requested a replacement, the replacement also arrived smashed. Moral of the story: Don't order china or glass during Covid19 or do so at your own risk!

Hi Elizabeth T, please tell me what the hell did we do before the internet, we went to the shops, we were fitter, and we just go on with things without whining, make that special trip, you might find that there is a world beyond your computer screen, everything does not have to be convenient, to many people are just using co-vid as an excuse to do nothing, yes it's serious, but Australians can fight anything, walk away from the screen, it will not jump off the desk or your lap to kill it self, and the walk will do you good

Is anyone else a huge fan of coconut oil? I promise you, once you discover it's versatility, you'll never go back. You can use it for cooking, as a hair treatment. Seriously, I could not live without it!
Duckfoot
Used it on my hair and skin my partner is an islander it's part of their beauty treatment for centuries

Will it change the way you use social media? I am so grateful the documentary was made, it can be the beginning of accountability and change. It s incredible that none of the computer scientists who created social media allow their children to use it. They understand how damaging it is, I guess.
lippy loo
Not on social media and have no children on it either. The little I know of it though it sounds scary and dangerous.

YouTube is a wonderful resource for DIY activities. So quirky and inventive. Creators making acrylic nails from toilet paper or designing lookalike celebrity fashions from thrift shop bargains. Do you watch DIY videos on youtube? If so, what are your favourite channels?
JoeB
Some things are ok but You Tube has a penchant to shunt you to a porn tube after about 5 clicks....annoying

When people talk about the best bands of all time. The Beatles and The Stones always get a mention. Which band is the best as far as you're concerned? It's a tough call!
freddie
Stones. Used to go to a gig they played in London when I was a teen remember Mick on the door collecting half-crowns entry fees.

The World Medical Association has said that boxing should be a banned sport because it causes fatalities and brain injuries. But life causes fatalities and brain injuries. Sport causes fatalities and brain injuries. Car accidents cause fatalities and brain injuries. Should we aim to ban everything? Boxing should not be banned. It's the risk the individual chooses to take when they play the sport.
Katzeye
I don't think it should be banned,if it is going to be banned then all contact sport should be banned. They just need to be wearing the right protection like helmets and mouth guards.

Do anyone out there get to the end of a survey . Then they tell you. You didn't qualify for the survey. Why can't they tell you at start of survey. So frustrating.

As humans we think if we attain something like an award, it will equate to making us happy but sadly this isn't the case. Have you ever won an award? Were you disappointed by how short-lived the joy was?
Sand
It depends on the award and how hard you worked for it. I was awarded the Howarth and Howath Prize (correct spelling) for Financial Management 3B. I had not studied economics or accounting in school and so picked it up at uni as a mature aged student. My closest challenger was a lad who was working for his dad's accounting business and was an entitled turd. I was working in the fishing industry at the time. We both went into the exam with a score of 96% and I scored 99% on my exam. I still smile at this because the students had no idea who I was and had their noses out of joint that their silver spoon boy didn't win. One for the working class!

So many people hate individual sports such as tennis, they find it boring. I m the opposite, I think it's more exciting than team sports. It's about tactics and the individual. Are you a tennis fan? Do you prefer individual sports to team sports?

Think it is great to watch and to play. My 86 year old neighbour still plays twice a week - not a Federer game these days, but she still gets round the court very well.

My hairdresser told me the perm is making a comeback. Will you be rushing out to get one? Perms are so 80s. I wonder if the blue rinse will come back in vogue?
Lachelle B
I decided to get a spiral perm in 1991. The poor hairdresser took five hours to complete it. The sun had gone down and I was still in her chair lol. I booked over the phone and when I went in she was surprised. My hair was past my butt and it's thick (but I did prewarn her over the phone). She deserved her $250 and I went to work the next day and was called telephone cord and poodle, but I liked it.

How often do you get your car serviced each year? Sometimes I have to go two or three times. Does this sound like a large amount to you? Maybe I'm being conned.

I am so enjoying the Delcado Avocado videos which are appearing on my videos section of Rewardia. Ads at times can be so boring but I think these are extremely clever and funny. Anyone else enjoy them too?
Dang Ling-bits.
I have to agree, they are from the area I lived in before moving to live in Bali.

Why would anyone chose front loader washing machine when there is the factor that you want to add more or added the wrong item, the front loader will let all the water out if you want to change your mind but the top loader will stop politely and let you do the changes you want

we went to a front loader..... big mistake. the 20 min wash doesn't get clothes clean enough and the other washes can take forever... AEG Awfully Expensive Garbage.

Apparently people who don't care what others think are happier and I'd agree with that. When you do what's best for you, things seem to run more smoothly.
Carmel C 103964
Caring about what others think makes me happy, because I enjoy caring.
I don't live as a hermit, I live in a community....so everything that other people do or think affects me either directly or indirectly.
If you are asking solely about whether my choices are based on what other people think about my choices..... then that is very different conversation. Do I care that someone I know hates it when I wear read. No I don't, because I enjoy wearing red. Do I care that my mother disapproves of me not visiting her more than I do...yes I do care...because I don't want her to feel sad or lonely.
Different situations result in different levels of 'do I care'. You can't lump them all under one heading and ask do you care or do you not....because it depends totally on what the situation or issue is. .

Gosh, a woman should be in charge of her own body, it's a basic human right. The patriarchy should have no say whatsoever. I cannot believe in 2020 women are still fighting for reproductive rights. It's like living in the dark ages.
Katzeye
I'm not going to say too much on this subject because enough has been said about it already but I will say that I agree with you Kimberly H.Yes a woman should be in charge of her own body but if you are in a relationship then the discussion of having children or not having children should be talked about between the both of you,not just one sided. If a woman who is single decides to not have children then that is her choice and her choice alone,no one should force her in to motherhood if she does not want to be a mother.I have a few friends who have never had children and they don't regret it.

If so, what was the item? And was assembling it as easy as IKEA makes out? I am curious if they live up to their legend.
Avatar Queen
Have only ever purchased 1 item (as far as I can remember) - got someone else to put it together for me as it was so complicated and takes so long to put it together. The process of finally finding it in the store, selection of the wanted item, collection from the assembly store down the bottom and then getting it paid for, let alone getting it home again is a mission in itself - who has the expertise or energy left to put the item together. Only impetus is saving the $70+ dollars they want for getting someone from their store to assemble it for you. Much prefer to go somewhere else & pay a bit more but get the item in one piece at home. I'm too old to try doing the gymnastics required to assemble the IKEA items.

I don't agree that every child in a sports team should get a trophy for having a go. Sport and athletics is about competition and there can only be one winner. Even the children's party game 'pass the parcel' has been changed by politically correct parents. Every child gets a prize now. It's ridiculous. Competition is good for kids. It teaches them how to win and what it feels like to lose -- much like life.
Lachelle B
Years ago an African swimmer qualified for the Olympics. He got his butt absolutely kicked by the other swimmers by lengths. But he kept going and completed the race. His training was in the river, not an indoor swimming pool, or the latest technology nor exercise equipment. When he touched the wall at the end he received a standing ovation by the crowd. Sometimes the losers end up being the winners!

I don't. I think it should be at the discretion of the cyclist. I mean The Netherlands is full of cyclists and helmets are not mandatory there. If it works for the Dutch, it can work for the rest of the world.

You cannot use the Netherlands as a comparison, their cities are designed for bicycles not vehicles, wear a helmet, stop being vein!!

I'd be lost without my diary. How do people that don t use diaries or day planners keep their life organised?
CILLY0
Most these days seem to use their phone or computer calendar. It seems the days of remembering things like phone numbers and appointments and even shopping lists have long gone. Pity that the brain doesn't get used to keep the grey matter working efficiently too.

Procrastination is such an unhelpful state to be in and I hate it when I procrastinate but I am human and it happens. It happens before gym workouts, it happens before massive career decisions. It happens before cleaning the house. But I always feel better after any task is done and often wonder why I procrastinated in the first place. Surely others feel like this too?
lippy loo
No I am the type that if it needs doing, do it. I do believe one has to think on big issues that might affect you, others, finance, job etc. before making such a major change or decision but to dither for ages is not a good state to be in for yourself or others it might affect. I usually go with my gut feeling and it has not steered me wrong yet and I am in my 70's.

In July 2020, a 56-year-old woman posed for Sports Illustrated and I think that is an amazing step forward. Beauty in men and women doesn't expire at a certain age. Sexy doesn't discriminate. Do you agree?

Not bothered. Models don't influence my decision to buy something because I know I look nothing like them and their products will still make me look nothing like them! Next.......

Overdosing on prawns, crayfish and mussels always seems like a delightful idea at the time but the intense headaches and tremors that can follow such a binge are ghastly.

I worked 7 years in the fishing industry and ate many different things from fish, crays to abalone. I have never felt ill/had headaches. I think mercury would only be a concern in such things as big game fish like marlin, or shark where it is more concentrated..

I love my work. So I can understand people wanting to continue their passions after winning millions. But people who continue on in dead-end jobs (that they hate) a week after winning the jackpot should have their winnings taken off them.

Rubbish! You need a bit of time to get your wits together and the best way to do that is to stay a normal as you can. Give yourself space to realise the enormity of it

Economists say that the future could possibly be cashless. But it could be problematic for low-income individuals. Do you think this would work or not ? If so, why?
Bugalugs
I already almost entirely do. I am no techno genius, nerd or particularly "modern" but I find I can manage my money better, I pay all my bills electronically (is that "digitally"?), have numerous accounts (with the same bank) and divide my income between them for specific reasons (Utilities, phone, rates etc.) so the money is always there when a bill is due. All my grocery buying is done using a Debit card.

I mean we now have trigger-warnings, safe-spaces, pronouns and a bunch of other politically correct stuff. Are we destroying our younger generations by wrapping them up in cotton wool? Life hits hard, you can't be soft.

I agree. Kids are inside and everything is disinfected these days. I say let them outside and eat dirt. Builds up the immunity like Tech never will

I could never live in a home without a bath, I honestly don't know how people do it. My nightly bath is a ritual, a tradition. It s my much needed me-time. If I never had a shower again, it wouldn t bother me. But my daily bubble bath will be with me until the end of time.
Chele
Depending on how dirty you are, bathing in your own filth is gross...but clean body in nice hot bath with candles and music is great relaxing therapy!! Showers are good for removing all the dirt period?!??

In all honesty, I probably outlay around six hundred bucks a month but it is most definitely worth it. And it will end up getting spent on something else anyway.
The dog house
I have not had an alcohol drink in over a year. As I have coeliac disease I am reluctant to have any thing. I do feel like some now and again but walking the dog helps to relax me so I do not need alcohol. $600 is a lot of money on alcohol. You could save that money and when lock down eases you could go on holiday. I also feel that the preservative in alcohol is not good for our body.

I used to love watching the Academy Awards and see people realising their dreams and winning awards for their creative work. But the Oscars isn t what it once was. Actors have become political puppets. No one cares what they think about politics. They should stick to what they do best -- acting!
lippy loo
The glamour has gone and now mostly just trashy outfits and who can show more leg or boobs. No class in a lot of their speeches either. It sometimes feels like the ones that win should not even have been nominated and the better actors have been overlooked due to the money put behind the movie or the actors themselves. It all seems a bit rigged to me these days and I no longer watch it.

I work. I function. I go to the gym. I eat healthy. But I consume a bottle of red wine a night. Is this normal or could I be a functioning alcoholic?
Grandma
If you HAVE to drink that much every night you most definitely have a problem and need to get help or be strong enough to not buy it in the first place.

I deactivate my social media accounts regularly. It's nice to be present and live without distraction. I find I'm more focused when my social media is deactivated. Life's too short to be checking social media all of the time.
Katzeye
No I have never needed to, just block weirdos lol.I have friends that have done though for their own reasons.I don't actually spend much time on them like I use to,it get's a bit too much the same old same old ya know what I mean.I really only use it for staying in touch with family and friends that don't live in my city/country.

I don't really care what's in fashion or what's considered cool. I have my own classic style. People that pay attention to fashion trends are sheep who don t know themselves.

Does loud chewing irritate you? It drives me crazy. I mean were these people brought up in a cave? Where are their manners?
Imperia S '' PIER''
I personally have no problems with the way people eat their food, so long as they enjoy the meal and thank the person that cooked it. And does anyone realize that in some Countries it is considered OK to burp at the table or if they lick the plate after a meal, It shows the provider that the person appreciated and enjoyed the meal. In Australia, we are so "Would Bes" that we frown at everything

I couldn't wait to get my first set of satin sheets. I considered them to be luxurious and sensual. Boy, was I disappointed! You literally slide across the bed. There is no grip. Perhaps this is the allure? There are better ways to do sexy.
Sammi
l think they are a waste if money. They are cold in the winter and hot in the summer, they don't breath so there is not circulation. The blankets slide off the bed and so due you, how can that be sexy but the look sexy.

I would rather be eaten by a crocodile than die in a plane crash. The thought is truly terrifying. But because I travel a lot, I've had to learn how to cope. I find copious amounts of wine helps calm my fear.

Have flow alot, but the only time was when the plane attempted to land the weather was wet & the plane slid over the tarmat so scary

I would turn to Eastern medicine. Western medicine tends to focus on the 99 that died rather than the one who lived -- they don't mind prescribing addictive drugs either. I like that Eastern medicine is natural and holistic.
BLM
I was born in western civilization and was programmed (ruthless) to take a dim view of eastern medicine. However, too much MONEY is involve in western medicine (which has lead to corruption). Furthermore, MD(s) has no qualms about prescribing addictive drugs to you (which means you have to ask questions)! LUCKY ME - I have not been sick in over four years (and counting) and I have not seen an MD in over four years (and counting). Therefore, I am open to trying eastern medicine (based on its approach: natural and holistic)!!

I fail to see why middle-aged first time mothers are still stigmatised and shamed. I mean lots of women are having children later in life now. I was born to parents in their 40s and 50s and it hasn't done me any harm. I fail to see the issue. And this argument that the older parent may not live long enough to see their child grow up is ludicrous. Disease, addiction, tragedy and dysfunction can strike at any time in life. One can die at any age. Leave these poor women...
Imperia S '' PIER''
Good on these women who are taking the chance, there is nothing so beautiful than to hold a newborn in your arms at any age, besides I find that you seem to have more love and time for a child as one grows older and is more responsible, My Mum had 4 of us, and at 44 she told us that we are going to have 2 more, I was 18 at the time and all I could think is, EVERY ONE is going to think they are mine, Shock Horror, but it was amazing how my friends and my brothers came together, knitting baby clothes and the boys making the cradle with Dad, Sadly we lost one sister and the other is now 50 herself, 12 years older than my oldest, Mum is 94, sadly Dad Passed 17 years ago, But Mum Always Said That having my sister kept her young and the family together

Seriously in 2020, with the pandemic and all the other crazy crap that is going on, an alien invasion would be a welcome surprise. And to be honest, I don't think anyone would bat an eyelid. Perhaps we could vote the Aliens into government. They would do a better job than our politicians are doing
lippy loo
Not heard any news here. I don't believe in aliens per se but life on other planets is a possibility but in microbe form etc. Can't see some form of intelligent life as we have if you can call us that as we came about by circumstances that would not be repeated elsewhere. A spec of dust or a microbe started us off.
I think the Governments are doing OK although some not so much. We are having a pandemic and they are in a fine balancing act trying to save peoples lives and also their livelihoods.
This virus is so virulent and we have the idiots who just don't get it going about and spreading it more.
Everyone stay safe, follow the simple rules of social distancing, quarantining if necessary, get tested if sick or asked, do not shake hands or hug, do not gather in groups etc. If everyone did this together we would probably not have the situation in Victoria, NSW and now it seems in Queensland.
28-Aug-20

Why hoard away all this cash for a future that may not even happen when you can spend it now and enjoy it? I will never retire anyway, I love my work. Retirement is for people who are ready to give up on life.
TERRIE K
I had to go into forced retirement due to a chronic injury and illness. I was lucky my late husband left me some money as I can't get any government benefits because I'm too young. My illness isn't recognised by centrelink so I do not get any money. I'd go back to work if it was possible.
29-Aug-20

Self-care is really important during these challenging times. So many people (particularly on social media) are in a constant state of hysteria. But you don't have to get caught up in the fear and negativity. You can choose to be positive and hopeful. I am spending this time looking after my body and mind. I feel great.
lippy loo
I do not dwell on it. I go about my house and do opinion polls, watch a bit of TV, take my dog for a walk, housework, etc. What's different. Never been all that social so I don't miss that. All these people who are treating this virus as nothing though make me angry. It's not a conspiracy, it's nothing to do with 5G, it's not made up, I am from another culture so don't understand, and worse the ones who think they can do what they want. I get angry at the ones who think they are beyond the rules and actually spread the virus to innocent people who have been doing the right thing. We have it here in Queensland again and it looks like it has spread from a few people who thought they could do as they please lying and crossing the border after leaving Victoria. Personally, I feel now as there is plenty of information out there and if people flaunt the rules and people get sick or worse die they should be made accountable with heavy fines, jail and charges of murder in the case of a death linked back to t

Every time I look at the internet, there will be a story online shaming a couple because of their age difference. Are people really that shallow? If you have a problem with age-gap relationships, YOU are the problem. Lust and love don't discriminate

If they care for one another there is nothing wrong. If it is for money then it is wrong. Money does not bring happiness. Sometimes the opposite.

Has it got to the point in our evolution where we can't string a bunch of sentences together coherently? The other day, I received a text from the opposite sex that basically spoke in full emoji and I had no idea what they were talking about. Perhaps we should give up speaking all together and start grunting.
lippy loo
I have seen people sitting next to each other speaking via their phone text messages. Utterly ridiculous. Still see them texting whilst driving. Can't put the things down for 5 seconds. I agree, these emoji's confuse me also. Maybe English should be taught in schools again like it was 50 years ago.

Having children is a lifestyle choice and not everyone wants to hear children screaming or misbehaving on international flights, in restaurants and so forth. I think we all deserve choices. I think we all deserve to have a peaceful coffee at a cafe without children running around. Not only would this provide an option for childless individuals but also parents who need some time-out
Patman Newcastle
No. Children are a part of every day life whether they belong to a family and are grandchildren or great grand children. They bring joy to the family.

I kid you not, I have never spoken to a real person at Facebook. It's all bots and generic messages and emails. It's disgusting, with all the money they make, they should provide customer service. It's the least they can do.
Carmel C 103964
Absolutely love Facebook...and despise a few things that the admins are really crap at. FB has opened up my world and let me communicate really easily with all my family and friends who are scattered around the world. IT has linked me to many groups which I use daily. It saves me time and allows access to so much that benefits ALL my hobbies.
Yes I hate some things about Facebook BUT there are far more good things about it than bad though.
Lately I've been reporting fake business accounts who are trying to scam people...and only getting automated replies that fail to fix the issue. Replies that tell me the fake accounts aren't breaking any of their rules! What the!!!!!!
So I have had to take it upon myself to start posting warnings in the Newsfeeds. It is greater than disappointing that Facebook is choosing to treat the real businesses and their Followers like that.
Will Facebook survive without better customer service? Yes, it will....but not in a manner that the Facebook admins want it to

I mean, isn't uploading photos of ultrasounds and small children exploitation? Not only do we exploit ourselves as adults, we also exploit our children before they are old enough to have a say
Christine M 323842
I don’t feel comfortable posting pictures of my children online, but I am the only parent I know who doesn’t do it.

I know the company has gone global and gets good reviews But having ingredients delivered, then having to cook it myself -- doesn't whet my appetite.
RonT
No but I want to try it once only. After that I don't want any further emails, marketing etc, I want to see what it it like to satisfy my curiousity

I used to save but in recent years I've adapted a more easygoing perspective. Money comes and money goes. I might as well enjoy it.
Imperia S '' PIER''
as a pensioner money does not go very far, so when I can I squirrel away a few dollars for the days I need a holiday

Have you become more creative and resourceful during lockdown? What have you learnt most about yourself? I have found different ways to express myself and connect with people through the digital world, what about you?
BeeUnikay
Definitely more creative and resourceful during lockdown, in a lot of ways it has put things in perspective for me and has changed the way I view the world...I'm more outspoken and has reminded me of just how precious each day can be, it's the little things that matter most

Meditation is a fairly new ritual for me but I have found it has improved my state of mind. Do you use guided meditations on apps or youtube? Do you meditate to music? Or in silence?
Metachair
Don't listen to others. I find out you needed to listen to your soul and understand them. The inner voice and do as you think its rights. Going to church is a great ways to meet peoples and talk. I vold church as my mother hates its once i go i find my soul

What is it about being stuck in traffic that irritates me so much? Well firstly, I can feel my cortisol levels rising. Secondly, I'm impatient. And finally, it makes me feel 'stuck'. Give me brussel sprouts (which I hate) any day!
Bea E
Nah, traffic is fine with me. I have experienced being stuck for 3-4hours in the middle of the road and I can’t even stop by for a pee. Hahaha.

Most of my friends get fake tans, it's the safer option. But I love sunbaking. I know that it can cause skin cancer, I know that it can cause premature ageing but that doesn't remove my love for it. There is something revitalizing about the sun beating down and penetrating your skin
Bugalugs
I tyan very easily - thanks to my Indian Heritage all mixed ip with my Irish-Spanish blood. As my Dad used to say: I am a real mongrel!

I love online shopping. Whether it's clothes shopping, grocery shopping or even electrical goods. I do it all online. I love the convenience of it
Kristyanne R
I do click and collect for shopping but try to by local most of the time covid has made things a struggle for our smaller stores

I love reading, so the thought of an author of a book reading to me via an audio book makes me want to vomit. Podcasts are the same, I haven't given them a proper go yet and maybe I should. In the 90s, audio books were more targeted to the elderly audience. So the fact that millennials buy them on Audible is a shock to this Xennial

Different strokes for different folks. If you don’t like something then just don’t do it, no need to get your lingerie into a gordion knot

Looking to use some sort of internet voice calls instead of mobile calls. Mainly using from wifi. Any thoughts on these or other ones. Which one is better?

Tried Skype. Phone service didn't work for me. Only texting.

Please tell me how anybody can get ten words, at expert level, in 20 seconds. I d love to know the secret.
John Smith Very-Old
Yeah ... at the expert level there are 10 words. 20 seconds divide by 10 = 2 seconds. Bloody 2 seconds for each word! I believe that they have supernatural power

I have been drinking more wine during lockdown than prior to my life pre-lockdown. It's really concerning. But when there is a pandemic happening, wine can feel like a good idea -- for me anyway
Edienz
No. Why would I need to? I find prayer more effective than alcohol to find peace in the middle of a pandemic, but I understand that not everyone has discovered that yet.

When I overuse social media I really feel a lull in my mood. Sometimes it can lead to a major depression. Other times I just feel really anxious. I have given up social media many times throughout the years and always feel my life force come back. Perhaps it's time to deactivate or delete again?
Autumn
I'm not on Facebook or Instagram. I don't know the names of the other ones. Rewardia is the closest thing to social media that I'm involved in. I don't feel the need for the approval of people who feel they have the right to abuse me because I don't know them. The whole idea seems ridiculous to me, but I know that children can be harmed by things that they see on social media.

TikTok seems to be getting more popular as a platform by the day. I am thinking of making TikTok videos. Has anyone used them to increase their platform and outreach?

The most valuable lessons I've learnt were after I left school and university. Lessons about money. Lessons about entrepreneurship. Lessons about success and savings and investment. All these useless things they teach in the classroom that nobody ever uses. Education departments throughout the world need to step up
NZNaturalKiwi
My school did teach us about saving, budgeting, investment options, saving for retirement and about having a rainy day fund and an "oh crap" (emergency) fund. My parents taught us about shopping on a budget, cooking on a budget, layby's and HP's etc

I suffer from Endometriosis and was recently told by my doctor that CBD may help. I've read heaps of articles on the internet, that say the oil has changed their life. I am thinking about trying it. What are other people's experiences with it?
Bugalugs
The problem really is that it is called Hemp and some silly people immediately associate this product with Illicit Drug Use when in fact it contains none of the drug associated with smoking pot/weed etc.. I would certainly try it if I had an issue with severe, on-going pain.

Actually, in all honesty, I find it offensive. A day for conglomerates to make money out of the contrivance of romance. If I love someone, I don t need a special day, set out by society for me. Love is far too evolved for a day where people exchange red roses and cheesy greeting cards. Yuck!
Henrietta
When Valentine's Day first started (in America, of course!!) it was just a small gesture to the person you loved but now it has lost it's meaning & come too commercialised & something we now don't need.

I use it when I'm working out. I use it when I'm relaxing. I walk with it. I catch public transport with it. It's as if we are married. Do you have a Spotify addiction too?
Carolyn C 364157
Amazing...who would ever have thought there was something so good, everything one could ever want in the way of music at you fingertips! Unbelievable. I use the Free version everyday

How about word search
Smooch - Vic
How can someone find and highlight ten words in 20 seconds, at expert level? Would love to know the secret!

Sometimes it feels like it. If you're not famous, well then you pretty much shouldn't have the audacity to exist. At least that's what it feels like to me.
Anwyn W
You need to differentiate between being famous because you have achieved something noteworthy (invention/discovery/etc) or just "famous" with some sort of celebrity because you have so many followers on Twitter etc.

I never would have believed, I could part with my belongings. But I got tired of lugging around boxes of stuff and decided to minimize. It s not easy saying goodbye to things that have been in your life for decades. But in the aftermath you feel lighter. It's freeing.
Bugalugs
Nah! I like my bit of clutter! Must say though that now I am getting on - well just a bit! - I have started using the really good things I have collected. I used to entertain friends with regular dinners - with all the trappings good crystal, china etc. and it only got use then. Now they are all dead and I use it all every day 'cos one day so will I be!

Perhaps you ordered something healthy? Perhaps you ordered alcohol? Or perhaps you don't order via home delivery? I'll go first: My last home delivery cuisine was Vietnamese and it was delicious
Liss
I got Noodle Box combination noodles with extra chicken and prawns. I don't usually get home delivery, but Uber gave me $30 to spend to try the Uber eats app.

I have noticed over the years that people who play a lot of video games become aggressive in their day-to-day life. I try not to judge people but this personality change is pretty hard to miss. Anyone else experienced this?
Phyrephly
I think it also a desensitivity to violence in general with constantly seeing increasingly realistic imagery of people being raped or blown up or stabbed/gutted with knives. Then, the lights/bells/whistles that go off when you might kill another being (in a game) to win the round or whatever, makes violence a thing to be used to maybe get ahead of the game in real life. Sadly, I think many of these ultra violent/realistic type games were/are designed to do this. When you stab someone to death, they don't really die- they just come back at you in the next round. If you do this countless times then you very well may in some small way expect the same to occur in real life, especially if you haven't yet fully developed a brain that can tell the difference (fully) between RL and a game situation or scene. Bully or brutish behaviour, towards women say, if very often associated with heroism. The 'hero' of the round got to be the hero because he just shot 25 "bad guys" up with an AK47. 7 and 8 year olds may hav

I have tried playing this game but cannot work it out. Please help me.

You have to try to make words out of the scrambled letters, you receive points for every word you create and if you succeed in getting all the words you get more points.

Any recommendations of what to watch this weekend?
Wendy Q
Depends on your tastes. ABC has some great British dramas, worth a lookeesee.

Apart from the fact one mostly sees overweight people drinking it. If you're going to drink Coke at all, why not drink the real thing? I've read that artificial sweeteners are really unhealthy for your body. Diet coke? No thanks!
Sand
Diet coke is very unhealthy and actually makes people gain weight. The original Coke Formula "7X" was manufactured outside in a 44 gallon drum by a pharmacist. So from crap Coke to Diet coke I don't touch the stuff.

just wondering how many points you earn from shopping through the site
Barbara T (Koondrook Vic)
Cosmetic Capital used to be on this site (for shopping) but no longer ...... probably the same with other sites.

It can be anything for the home, office or garage for storing goods. For example, I recently purchased a 27 litre plastic storage container

If someone had told me seven years ago that I would give up tangible print books all together, I would have laughed in their face. But eBooks are so easy to store. I carry hundreds of books around with me on my phone. It's perfect. Plus real books clog up one's house and space
Squizzer
I love a good book that provides page turning suspense. The are fully recyclable, as in being able to pass them on to friends and family and when finally too tatty to read, goes in the recycling bin no waste there. Electronic devices are not fully recyclable so land fill here we come.

Once upon a time, to be considered beautiful, meant you had won the genetic lottery. Now any ordinary person who's had plastic surgery makes the grade. As far as I'm concerned, if it's artificial, it doesn't count!
Katzeye
Not a chance and there is no way I would ever get botox or any enhancing surgery on my face or my body for that matter. If you live a balanced healthy lifestyle and look after your skin there is no need for work to be done. The best thing you can do for your skin, use sunscreen daily even in winter.

I honestly cannot imagine buying a man a kettle or a vacuum as a gift. I mean what person on earth enjoys cleaning? I think gifts should be about pleasure not household chores.
Phyrephly
....is it um, let's see...I know...racist to buy a white kettle? Get a grip people. Aren't we better than this?

I'm a xennial and didn't grow up with social media. And I am so glad about that. Kids today spend too much time looking at a screen, when they should be outside being present and exploring the natural world around them
Edith v
In an ideal world yes, but In our day we didn't have as many perverts & weirdo's .A balance like reading & supervised outdoor fun excursions & some computer etc is great .Parents must make more time for their children
