We have a Senior Citizen who goes out and walks after being transported to the local Senior Center. Then she comes in to eat and expects me to save her seat for her. She get really angry when someone else sits in the place where she wants to sit to eat. My question is HOW to handle this situation. Do you think what is marketed as Australian Atlantic Salmon is real Salmon or a fake? Real salmon needs to be able to swim up rivers into lakes etc. to spawn, then shortly after hatching they swim down-stream and out into the oceas where they feed on Natural Foods. The Australian version is farmed, they are kept in what amounts to a cage and fed prepared food which guarantees their flesh is Red or Pink.

I have stage 4 lung cancer and finally began treatment on the 11th March 2025 after waiting 5 months for treatment to commence. Should there be a limit on how many questions can be asked for qualification? I just tried a survey and qualification took about 8 minutes and about 40 questions only to be screened out. This is way too much. What are yout views on this.

I agree. Surely your demographic, age and sex would be enough. More than that and I assume that I am being screened out because my opinions conflict with the answers THEY want,which defeats the purpose of quantities social research and not a true indication of public opinion. Just saying...and i always give true,concise answers so shouldn't be screened out for making silly remarks that aren't relevant to topic.

In French railway stations they have little pedal devices...you sit down pedal away for a little while and recharge your phone/laptop it's free...and popular....why don't we harness ALL of our keep fit equipment...treadmills exercise bikes Gym equipment...you name it...and run all of that wasted energy into the grid where it is needed?...every little helps...

Last Tuesday, I opened a packet of six lamingtons and while I was counting how many pieces of desiccated coconut they each had on them, pieces kept falling off and I had to start over. .Anybody had that happen to them while you are popping bubble wrap ?

This is a problem that a lot of people have and I'm glad you brought it up.....use a fine needle to release any pressure in the packaging ...then gently remove the top of the packaging with a sharp scalpel....leaving the base and sides...then apply several layers of spray glue (hairspray can be used) and allow it to fully dry before counting..I find that usually works...(and of course when you have finished counting..you can spray them all over with glue and throw them at the walls...family members..and/or people you don't like..) ..if you usually throw them on the floor and just jump on them...give them a light dusting in flour first or they will stick to you feet....

I feel that too much money leads to corruption which is rampant in our country (US). Perhaps if politicians had to retire at 65 or only serve a limited number of terms, they wouldn't be so wealthy and become corrupted over the years. What if they were paid minimum wage? Would we not have politicians at all, or would we have people who really want to make a difference without being rich and powerful?

I think everyone is very naive if they think IT will be the gift to humans. Why do we need it to do our housework or open doors or 1000's of other things we humans can do for ourselves. Yes it can be helpful in operations but controlled by humans just the same. SciFi is coming true as whatever man thinks of he will eventually create and giving AI the tools to teach themselves is a dangerous road to take.
I think scary times are ahead in the future with the scientists just going too far. It is already doing more than delivery of Pizza or cleaning etc. People are talking to them as if they are real live humans and some of these robots actually look very close to that.

So I've lost contact with a friend years ago due to her only being there for me in my good times, not my bad. I'm in a good place now, and she wants to be mates again. Would it be a bad idea to befriend someone like that and give another chance?

How is it that airlines can get away with dirty water on their planes? Many waters (not bottled) have been tested a d have been found to have bacteria. Sometimes even E. coli. It's no wonder the pilots never drink tea or coffee. Would you risk the water on the plane for their noodle cups? The ice cubes are made in the airport. I used to drink tea (on flights) but no longer. How about you?

Absolutely - You can't let them get away with bad behaviour or they will take full advantage of it and you! Let them know you are in charge and should be respected. If their parents don't like you disciplining them, they don't have to leave them with you. And they probably leave them with you because they can't control them and hope you will teach them some respect.

Many of us are told "Hey you're a natural! Have you ever considered ... as a career?" We're often told to pursue our talents, but is this good advice? Isn't it better to learn how to strengthen our weaknesses, which would offer possibly more of an opportunity for personal growth? How many of us have made a career out of our talents anyway? I was taught to be better 10 minutes early, than one minute late, no matter where you are going, because people who are always late have no respect for anyone. Even for any appointments or interviews, as if you are late, you are going to be stressed & panicking for not being there on time. Does anyone else think the same as me?

39 years ago I asked my current wife to join our work indoor cricket team [the twisted kids] ,she did, now 3 kids 3 grandkids so many houses 4 dogs 5 cars,i digress ,my employer of 20 years asked me to talk to my wife about quitting she had just become pregnant with our first, so i quit along with her and we started a cleaning business which went for nearly 34 yours until covid put an end to that,but it was such a good move ,we met a lot of people,so i thank them for there ignorance

My son is 2.5 years old and for health reasons we have to keep him out of daycare. This was easy enough when the weather was nice as we would go to the park/beach, but now it's getting cold and rainy we're often stuck inside. What's your go to rainy day activity for little ones?

You can also put on rainy day wear and go puddle stomping and for walks with the umbrella. Rain doesn't have to be a sentence to the indoors. Walk an indoor mall. They usually have little people areas to climb on soft big animals or ride a little train or carousel indoors. At least the malls in America have those features. Hopefully there too.

If you walk down a sidewalk when they fix it, they don t make sure it is level. Store have small lips or steps just before you go into a strip plaza. Malls isles aren t wide enough. Old restaurant do even have to be handicap friendly. How can we fix this problem.

In Armadale we have a shopping centre near us where the whole front pathway of the shops is sloping. It is hairy when trying to negotiate this and feeling like you are going to tip over. One shop in the same suburb is renowned for having boxes and boxes of goods stuck in their aisles. Trying to negotiate this last year, I knocked over a pile of boxes and smashed at least one large ornament and probably more in those boxes. It is so frustrating! Have not been back in there since but have observed from outside the shop that their aisles are slightly better, but far from acceptable yet!. On the other hand my Woolworths in Kelmscott has wide clear aisles free from obstructions. And apart from that, they are always helpful and considerate. Most Woolies shops have the same wide aisles and clear pathways and on behalf of us with wheelchairs, may I say a huge thank you to them. How can we fix the problem - stick all the powers that be in wheelchairs and send them off for a day to shop! Perhaps that might wake them up.
Edit: Wow, I just noticed some of the comments on here and am really gobsmacked! We do not expect perfection, but let me just say that money can be found for many minority groups who are always in the media, we can find money to float a republic, have a debate about putting an first nation voice in parliament, give pay rises to politicians who don't deserve them (some do), and fund hundreds and thousands of dollars worth of fireworks, political lunches and heaps of other selfish causes. But a ramp into a shopping centre or an even entry - wow, aren't we selfish and entitled???!!! Hope some of you don't get to the stage where you face some of the problems we do!

Our house is packed of stuff we don't need. I am really thinking about downsizing the house and also stuff we collected over the years. My spare room is full of stuff we bought online for great price, and we never really used it. And that just made me think how many belongings we need for day by day living? Not sweet and sugary...not ones where all the heroes are small children...not ones you sleep through to keep the kids happy....REAL FAMILY MOVIES...where everyone watched really enjoy them...where ALL of you can watch it several times together, and it is STILL really good?... I to get frustrated by the number of dud surveys and kicking you out for no apparent reason, but since have been on rewardia have withdrawn $900 dollars cash in the last 18 months and are currently sitting on 504 thousand points at the moment. I play when i have spare time and notice seem to get good scoring surveys very early in the morning, and I do work full time (50 hours a week) At the end of the day the way I look at it is you are getting money for...

If the Federal Government would simply ban all Foreign Investment is Housing and scrap Negative Gearing for All Housing this would, reportedly, open up 10s of 1000s of Houses, Flat etc. for rent. It is also reported that those who own Housing - both Foreign and Australian Residents - deliberately keep their properties un-occupied for Tax Purposes. We hear Politicians, the Unions and others constantly complaining about how Multi-National Corporations pay Little or No Tax on their revenues in Australia - Successive Federal Governments - both ALP and Coalition - have failed to close off the mechanisms these organisations use to avoid paying any Tax. But never a word from any of them about the deliberate, but Legal, rorts, scams, cons - call them what you will, used by Politicians, Union Bosses and others to avoid paying tax on their own Housing Properties which they deliberately keep Un-Tenanted. One Federal ALP MP reportedly has $12 million invested in housing - he conveniently "forgot" to list a $1miilion property in his Asset Disclosure Statement to the Federal Parliament and his mates, both ALP and Coalition, in the very same Parliament did NOTHING.
They won't do anything to put a stop to these scams because they are all up to their necks in this sort of Corruption and are Operating a Protection Racket for themselves.
Faint hope it may, be but maybe the new wave of Independent, so-called Teal - Members of the Federal Parliament - unless they have their snouts in the same trough of Corruption - will force the Albanese ALP Federal Government to actually get off it's self-satisfied, greedy backside and address this issue.

Do you have the income, so you can see a Dentist often for a check-up and a clean to your teeth? Say every six months is the general time frame to get checked. Or are you one of the people that simply can't afford to go to the Dentist and only go when you have a toothache and have to pay off the bill or get assistance from Winz (Work and Income New Zealand, provide income support)? My teeth are falling to pieces and since we were scammed out of $53,500 things have been tough making ends meet, I have asked WINZ 3 times for help but they keep saying you have too much in the bank, we only have enough to cover the mortgage, power, rates etc but no help. If I go to the dentist the only place the money can come from is our food money so I am well and truly stuffed. But they can put people who play the system in emergency accommodation and pay $1,000 a week. Plus help them pay rent arrears and repairs for their last house they trashed!!

I've noticed for some time... that the people responsible for replacing our street lights... aren't always replacing them all, or there are usually one or two street lights that haven't been replaced when they blow out. Here in South Australia, if you are the first person to report a faulty street light and they don't fix it within 10 days you can get a GSL payment of $25. GSL stands for Guaranteed Service Level. We don't seem to have too many problems with street lights around where I live.

Do you find as you get older you lose more friendships? If so why does this seem to happen? I recently turn 30, I used to have lots of friends in my 20s but now as i grow older i have less. In early 2020, the government added salt to the wound of pensioners by giving the unemployed people the "Pandemic Supplement" which doubled the dole payments to $1100 a fortnight for several months, thus being MORE than the average pensioner; AND the government DID NOT give pensioners any "Pandemic Supplement" payments.
Although that salt in the wound made the wound sting, in late 2020, when pensioners were due for another pay rise, the government opened that wound, poured more salt onto it, then rubbed that salt into the wound by REFUSING to give pensioners that payment increase which they were entitled to receive.
Although that additional salt rubbed into the pensioners wound had infected the wound, the government decided that they have NOT caused enough harm to the pensioners and decided to add even more salt to the infected wound by adding insult by announcing in March 2021 that single pensioners will receive a payment increase of $8-40 a fortnight ( $4-20 a week )....which barely buys a cup of coffee.

I ask this, because many phones, computers and, even, some businesses are doing away with passwords and are moving towards fingerprint scanning, iris scanning and chip scans. The police told me that one method most used by hackers is entering people's computers through their MSN...ICQ or YAHOO messengers ....The police advised me to delete all messengers from my computer ..... When I was hacked I was hacked on MSN messenger whilst unknowingly chatting to the person who hacked me, whilst she was in my computer sending copies of my business files to everyone on my friend's list

Do you listen to songs in other languages? These being languages that you do not speak or understand well (need a translation for). I personally, enjoy listening to songs sung in Aramaic, Russian and Serbian Slavic. Unlike some of my constituents, I do find the interpretation or translation of the song in a language I do understand.

I went to an all boys school and if anything, thanks to the plethora of paedophile teachers - including female ones, who were the biggest bullies of all - we came out as misandrists. Yes, in some ways Co-ed schools are better but let us not forget that girls can be every bit as cruel, nasty, vindictive - especially towards other girls - Their bullying techniques have, somehow, been developed into an art which is passed down from one year to the next and they take that through to their adult lives.

What do you think of Daylight-saving? Some countries have it, and some don't. Some states, territories, in Australia have it. Some people seem to either love it, or hate it! People think violent movies and video games cause real life violence. But I have to disagree. The majority of people who watch a violent film, don't go out and hurt or kill people. They watch the film, turn it off and then get on with their lives.

I've slept with the same snorer my parents sleep with: Charlie (Heinz59er, dog), is the loudest sleeper; he snores, farts, barks, yips, grunts, growls, yelps, and even sleepwalks! My parents thought he was possessed the first night he was in the house. But he does like the ladies, and enjoys his nightly cuddles. certainly didn't get much of those in the house he was rescued from (RSPCA save). Making up for it now tho'.

The glamour has gone and now mostly just trashy outfits and who can show more leg or boobs. No class in a lot of their speeches either. It sometimes feels like the ones that win should not even have been nominated and the better actors have been overlooked due to the money put behind the movie or the actors themselves. Well said Alex H. I think Rewardis hss nothing to do with it. Because Rewardia also depends on these research companies for survival by organising this platform. Mostly, it's survey companies who should be serious about how they treat survey takers! They don't have to wait until completion of a survey to disqualify someone. It can be done within the first few minutes of starting it. If they don't follow such rules it's like just taking things easy with the survey takers! This shows the low-quality attitude of such companies!! I have already identified and avoided them as bad contributors for our existence. Receiving 2 points compensation is such an insult when getting booted out of a survey - there should be 40 points minimum and even with surveys at around 1500 if you don't qualify 4 points thats an insult they she compensation should be increased to at least 250 points or a quarter of them. I had a dog that was 8 when she tore a ligament in her back leg . We put her on a product called "biovet joint suplement" mixed into hamburger, within a month she walking on her own six months she was walking up and down stairs again on her own in a yr she was running around almost like when she was young . We kept her on it until she died at 14 1/2. No arthritis.

I go for a walk (my happy place) - every day (regardless of the weather - but - I reside In Sunny Southern Cailfornia - LOL). I set a fast pace (I walk by myself), I walk in the evening, and I walk for two straight hours. I can literally feel the stress leaving my body.
