I to get frustrated by the number of dud surveys and kicking you out for no apparent reason, but since have been on rewardia have withdrawn $900 dollars cash in the last 18 months and are currently sitting on 504 thousand points at the moment. I play when i have spare time and notice seem to get good scoring surveys very early in the morning, and I do work full time (50 hours a week) At the end of the day the way I look at it is you are getting money for...

I kept my own transcript / file regarding at what time I started and stopped doing Surveys. Have just added it all up........1413 minutes, = 23.55 HOURS!!!! Which equals....0.471 cents per hour.

There are too many toys on the market for children that don t really encourage proper play for social, physical, emotional and cognitive development. They are more marketed products that children only maintain interest in for a short while, or make children believe they need more of that brand.

We often hear people talk about the work/life balance. We don't all get the perfect scale when it comes to balancing. How do you ensure you maintain a good balance between the two?
IdentifyAs
Don't make your work your life's priority. Employers don't give a stuff. Do your work diligently and don't take work home. Your own health and wellbeing is more important, and those who you love.

Do you think you pay a fair price for prescription Medication? Have you ever paid a lot for Medicines? What, if any, would you like listed on the Government subsidy-list?

I thank God, that we were born before USA gave Australia a regime change in 1973-6 when doctors were doctors and they knew that there are lots of natural items to keep you heathy, These things are still available but doctors cannot tell you, High blood pressure can be prevented and managed by natural means just like flu [2020-rename-ccv] etc etc. Amazing how natural things like Garlic, lemons, grapefruit, ginger, tumeric etc can keep you healthy. BUT I am thankful for the Australian medicare system, where we still pay 2.5% of our salary for the privilege. and I am not in USA where they murder people by over medication.... Love of Money is root of all evil.

Since I have all kinds of latent criminal behavior in me (HAHA) - the movie where the ending completely surprises me is "Thief" starring James Caan (1981).
OKIE K
How about a book instead, it's just the one where the ending literally made me do a double take and really really stuck with me. It's Rebecca by Daphne DuMaurier - they did make a movie of it though,I think with big name actors even, but I haven't seen it. I do a lot more reading!

China buys the name "MG"...designs cars in the UK...manufactures the parts entirely in China...makes sure that at least most of them are assembled in the UK...but tries to imply that you are still buying the long dead original product... Energy Australia is now owned by China. They bought the company and the name. I think this is very misleading. I changed to an Australian electricity supplier as soon as I was made aware of this.

Have you stopped hugging people, or stopped kissing people when greeting them? We have stopped shaking hands and probably won't ever again, but I stopped wearing lipstick because of wearing a mask. I thought there was little point, but I keep forgetting to put it on when I go out now. I get dressed, then once I'm out I remember I haven't put my lippi on. Am I the only one?

What pandemic??? We never gave up anything for a lie and everything is a lie until it is proven. For us we refused to be cowed by a lie... DNA kits are useful for discovering your roots, as well as identifying potential health conditions. I have never heard of 23andMe until it came up when I Googled Ancestry DNA. The only thing I would worry about is having my DNA out on some database and not having any control over it.

Do you think education be free? Well I think yes, it is because that it will encourage kids to do more education related things (like maths and English). Also, parents don't have to spend money in order for their child to learn. Education is important for kids. What do you think?
Grommie
isn't just corny how people think things are free !!!!! The government pays, which means it's you and I who pay. There ain't no such thing as a free lunch.
If you think education is expensive, try ignorance... but that's another whole subject

How trustworthy do you believe our MEDIA are today? I read quite a lot on News sites and Newspapers, and am constantly amazed at how selective or biased the view's or judgement of these Journalists. Why don't they just shut up...and stop trying to influence the public by what they write! Once NEWS was all about publishing the facts, now it seems journalists often just want to express their biased opinions, and mislead the public from the real truth
Mopos
The media in general have never been trustworthy but! it is happening more and more nowadays. I agree with you Zing.

WHICH DO YOU PREFER HOME SCHOOL, CLASS ROOMS, PRIVATE OR PUBLIC SCHOOLS
Christina C 466456
If homeschooled, kids need opportunities to socialise through attending clubs etc. There are clubs for homeschooled children specifically as well in some places. Homeschooling can be great for your child if they want to focus on particular skills or subjects.
Class rooms allow kids to learn with other people which can be beneficial for social and education.
Private schools have better opportunities for networking, and HR people when hiring will look favourably on schools with good reputations over ordinary public schools. They also tend to be strict with things like dress codes which can be good for discipline. Their education standard can be more difficult for kids which can be a positive or a negative depending on the kid. Other than that not much more benefit. My little sister went to an expensive private school and told me that there's a lot of kids on drugs - they're everywhere she said, probably because kids in private schools tend to have more money to afford them. They have more social pressures as well. They have excellent teachers though.
Public schools kids have the opportunity to really learn about people from diverse backgrounds (rich, poor etc) which I think is really important to teach when it comes to understanding about how the world works. The education can be hit and miss though depending on the kids in the class, the teacher and the schooling opportunities and subjects available. Resources are more scarce for some public schools.
At the end of the day, it's what your kid does after school that counts the most though so whatever school they go to, if they do exceptionally well at university and/or managing their career then you won't have to worry about them.

When do you think your age actually changes - is it midnight as you commence the anniversary of your birth, or is it the actual time of your birth on that day? I have often wondered that - but the thing I do know is that birthdays come around quicker and quicker as you age.

As someone who was born at 11:20PM, i have always said i only have a 40minute birthday.
That's what my Mum always told me from as young as i can remember, and it's still what i believe today.
My hubby and friends try and convince me the entire day is my birthday, but it is still hard to believe when i was told otherwise my entire life.

Boardgames were very popular when I was growing up, and I really enjoyed playing them. These days people play more on computers, smartphones and gaming consoles. Do you still play boardgames? What are some of your favourites?

I don't have anyone to play with, so if I play any games it's usually on the ipad like rewardia. I loved monopoly, cluedo, trivial pursuit and trouble

I spent the whole morning doing mostly long surveys and only get paid $2.40 for completing 7 surveys. Rewardia really sucks. Logged in to Pureprofile, completed a short survey, screened out from 3 and I received $2 in less than 10 mins. I am confused. Why am I still on Rewardia?
maltija
What pisses me off is when I finish the survey and I am not given my due points. Then get the excuse of not have finished the survey which is not true. I feel like giving up rewardia.

People get marry for one reason in a capitalist country - money (or if you prefer an upgrade in their lifestyle). Capitalist countries have the highest divorce rate on the planet. Why do you think people get marry in a capitalist country?
MoB
From someone who has been married for 52 years it's easy to see why people don't stay married. Firstly they get together for lust, they spend more than a deposit on a house for a wedding, mostly to impress others. After a couple of years, not being able to save or do things they want to do and the lust wearing off, they want out. Then because they have children or pets a divorce costs another fortune. To get married for love you don't need a big wedding, you need to be aware of your partners faults and they of yours. Then you need to work together to stay in love with them warts and all. Don't start a family for a couple of years that gives you time for each other and to save. If you are in love staying home together and saving hard is no issue. When children come along you are then able to share your love and give them a stable home life. Unfortunately its all about what you have now, house, car, boat etc. most of which are not yet paid for. Love doesn't care if you are communist or capitalist it matters to the two people involved.

I cannot believe that I am saying this. I just thought I would give them one last go to help me recover from a spot of bad health. Furthermore, I have tried cooking them many ways but always found them bitter and pretty horrible and vowed that I would never eat them again. Have you ever felt completely drained in a close relationship - by a friend or a spouse? I did - it took me a long time to realise that all my energy is sucked out of me by a long time friend. There was nothing I d do than completely stop the relationship with a heroic effort. Have you experienced something similar and if you did...

Yes and I cut them out of my life completely. We seem to be conditioned to cop this rubbish and look the other way etc. Not on. Some people are drama driven, others are using these tactics to keep you under their thumb with you thinking you can or should help them for some stupid reason. Life is too short to have to deal with these types of roller coaster relationships. Being on tender hooks waiting for the boom gates to drop and you have to appease them in some way. Cut and run...

Potatoes are easy to grow and keep down the weeds as well ... plant some a few weeks apart as to have new ones constantly coming up and just dig up what you immediately need ... treat the ground as your cellar ... can do the same with lettuce as well, just peel off as in break off what you need, try not to cut it with a knife so it doesn't start going brown ... I do the same with the ones in the fridge, they last fresh longer.

Who was that one person that you couldn't stand one time to quit or get fired, so you didn't have to deal with them anymore. I worked at a salon, I couldn't stand the bitch she was constantly in my way doing nothing. I'm just irritated every second of the day with her in my sight. She eventually quit thank God that was the happiest day of my life LOL. And I was even such a good person to pick her up and drive her to work, going out of my way waking up early to...

I only worked one job - before I retired. I was the only minority at the job for thirty years (federal civil service position - USA). I did not socialize with my co-workers on the job, on weekends, holidays, or when I took annual (vacation) leave from the job! If I had a co-worker from hell - I did not care - since I could always transfer to another jobsite (without loss of seniority or having to accept a lower paying position)! More important, I never brought the job home with me (mentally) - left job-related personalities at the job - at the end of my shift (and I never dreaded (mentally) going to work in the morning)!

Growing up a little boy my Mother had a vast array of cutlery she told me that if I was ever invited to tea with the Queen I'd know what spoon, knife or whatever to use...three full sizes of knives and forks...fruit spoon, soup spoon, desert spoon, jam spoon, cheese knife, steak knife, fish knife...the list went on.... I haven't seen most of these in over 40 years...has anyone else?

Have you kept in touch with workmates from previous jobs? I have from the last two jobs I had, and it is really great to have a catch up now and again and talk about "old times" I wish I had stayed in touch with more of my workmates - I often used to think about them, but never followed up on it. What about you?
BLM
I do not keep up with workmates from my one previous job (which I retired from). Only one shift (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM - got two 15-minute breaks and a half-hour for lunch (I worked a total of eight hours on each workday). In addition, I was the only minority in a huge office - were I worked for thirty years. We did not have one thing in common with each other - we did not socialize with each other on the job, and we did not socialize with each other on weekends (we did not work weekends) or on holidays (we got holidays off - with pay). Only four things I actually liked about my federal civil service job - the pay, job advancement opportunities, I got sick leave and annual (vacation) leave, and I got to wear jeans too work every day. I do not miss my workmates - but I DEFINITELY miss not getting paid every two weeks (on a Tuesday) :-))! I now get paid - on a monthly basis (bummer).

As if things weren't bad enough, I have today received an e-mail from AGL informing me that they are taking away their 5c feed in tariff (and probably all other utility companies are doing the same.) This has to be nothing more than pure greed. I am pretty sure they will weather the hard times we are going through better than their customers will.

My husband and I have discussed solar panels and decided that should we ever get them because yes I believe that are a great idea but we've come to the conclusion that unless we can afford to buy a battery to store any excess power that we won't use at the time it's not worth it cause you just get ripped off by greedy power companies because they buy it off you for next to nothing then sell it back at huge profits.

In Australia rents are extremely high and interest rates have been low for 9 years now interest rates are rapidly increasing each month resulting in rental property owners massively increasing rents further. I recently heard on the news that in Queensland people who were paying $600 a week rent are now paying just under $ 1200 a week rent due to recent interest rate increases. Rents have always included mortgage interest rates, council rates, and insurance, and...

Also when I lived at my parents as a teen I used to chuck avocado seeds in the backyard garden. They have a few fruiting avocado trees now. Apple cores/seeds chucked out a little before winter solstice (in temperate climates) should get enough cold hours to start sprouting by spring. You can also wash apple seeds then chuck em in a container with damp paper towel in the fridge (keep checking that it's damp) and this will give them enough cold hours to start sprouting (100% success I've found with this as all seeds sprouted). So yeah mum n dad have a few apple trees and crabapple trees.

Do you have pets? If so, what kind? Do you have any interesting or unusual pets? Did you grow up with pets? My daughter has 2 rescue cats who are real characters & who have brought much joy into our lives. I like dogs, but I do prefer cats, as I love their independent nature. They can also be very affectionate & love attention. I didn't grow up with pets and if it were just me, I probably wouldn't have any, but they have brought much joy to the house with...
Pearlz
When I suggested this topic it was ignored. Perhaps it was the way I framed it. I am a cat person and while I have had dogs it's cats I can't live without. My 16 year old lady left us last September so I now only have 5 boys. They are all rescues so come with health problems but I love them, not like children but family members who are animals. My one rule is that they don't have human names, and I never use the same name twice, the name also has to suit the personality. All 5 have long fur which annoys my husband as he feels they shed, they don't really as they usually leave it on chairs or clothing. I have always had at least one cat other than when I lived overseas. All of the cats has it's own personality and all 5 own me. They are neurotic, bossy, fussy but love unconditionally and get very annoyed if we go away for any reason. They are very independent, dogs are far too needy for my liking, but they know if I'm not feeling well and will stay with me even if they have to hiss and growl at anyone that attempts to get closer. They help me garden, they always want to go with me when I walk and will hide so that I can't see them until they get frightened by a car or dog and I hear them crying. I had to carry one home from almost a block away one day and the bus scared him so much he almost got away from me. They are sticky beaks who have to know where I am at all times. They help me when I'm sewing or making the bed, oh that's great fun, they also enjoy a feather duster, getting into drawers, cupboards and washing baskets. I was missing one once and looked everywhere for him but I was pretty sure he hadn't left home. The following morning I turned the dryer on to air my towels and I heard a loud banging and when I looked his little face was looking through the dryer door at me. He had gotten in while I left the dryer open as I took the towels off the clothesline the previous afternoon. I hugged him so hard as it could have ended quite badly and he was very forgiving but hungry. Ny eldest son keeps birds and doesn't like cats, he says they are sneaky, my daughter has no pets but prefers dogs while my youngest son must take after me and has 5 cats. My grandchildren call me the crazy cat lady but they all love my cats. The feeling sadly is not reciprocated.

Recently, I read a report stating that the production of making an Electric vehicle was more damaging to the environment than the production of petrol driven cars. And a well maintained small petrol car in its lifetime was just as clean to the environment as an EV. I own a reliable older Toyota Corolla that keeps on going and going and think that it would be friendlier to the Environment than the current Electric vehicles for sale. What do you think about Electric...
lippy loo
I'm not impressed by them. You still have to make the cars and that involves the usual stuff. You have to generate more electricity to accommodate the increase in electric cars and of course outlets all over the place. I guess we need the cons and negatives to really understand if there are any actual benefits. Of course, the world is probably running out of oil so this could be the impetus to change the fuel. My car is 20 years old and I just had it serviced and checked and it is in good nick. Mind you I have not even reached 70000ks yet so I do not drive much and most of those k's were in the first 10 years. lol

Baz Luhrmann does a great movie in my opinion. I am really looking forward to seeing his movie, Elvis, tomorrow. I am particularly interested in seeing him as a child and learning about his influences, being African-American blues, Christian Gospel and Southern Country. The rental crisis in New Zealand & Australia has seen families struggling to find a home, and tenants with a roof over their heads are claiming that they are being treated poorly. Have you been in a situation where your landlord or property manager has failed to meet their obligations to organise repairs within a reasonable time frame, or been in a dispute where you've had to source legal advice?
Bugalugs
If the Federal Government would simply ban all Foreign Investment is Housing and scrap Negative Gearing for All Housing this would, reportedly, open up 10s of 1000s of Houses, Flat etc. for rent. It is also reported that those who own Housing - both Foreign and Australian Residents - deliberately keep their properties un-occupied for Tax Purposes. We hear Politicians, the Unions and others constantly complaining about how Multi-National Corporations pay Little or No Tax on their revenues in Australia - Successive Federal Governments - both ALP and Coalition - have failed to close off the mechanisms these organisations use to avoid paying any Tax. But never a word from any of them about the deliberate, but Legal, rorts, scams, cons - call them what you will, used by Politicians, Union Bosses and others to avoid paying tax on their own Housing Properties which they deliberately keep Un-Tenanted. One Federal ALP MP reportedly has $12 million invested in housing - he conveniently "forgot" to list a $1miilion property in his Asset Disclosure Statement to the Federal Parliament and his mates, both ALP and Coalition, in the very same Parliament did NOTHING.
They won't do anything to put a stop to these scams because they are all up to their necks in this sort of Corruption and are Operating a Protection Racket for themselves.
Faint hope it may, be but maybe the new wave of Independent, so-called Teal - Members of the Federal Parliament - unless they have their snouts in the same trough of Corruption - will force the Albanese ALP Federal Government to actually get off it's self-satisfied, greedy backside and address this issue.

Falling prey to a con artist can be a humiliating and often expensive exercise. Many cons end in costly court cases, even imprisonment, and that's just for the victims. The perpetrators often appear to be charismatic and charming, but they re far more likely to be narcissistic risk-takers who revel in power and control. Have you ever met anyone of such charismatic and complex character?

It's the person's choice. I will be getting a Maori tattoo (ta moko) from my son. Not on my face but on my back (showing lineage and my life story). I don't have a problem with people getting Maori sleeves on their arms or shoulders/torso as it represents ancestry or life (not chosen from a photo on the wall of the studio). Psychedelic drugs have a long history in medicine and popular culture, and they re now being researched as possible treatments for mental illnesses and other debilitating conditions. But are psychedelics ready to go from underground to mainstream medicine? And what lessons can we learn from the strict regulation of medicinal cannabis?

Returned US soldiers with PTSD use such drugs whilst in session with a psychologist. Results are good. Why would big pharma offer anything better than nature? As for medicinal cannabis who can afford it? To all the judgemental straightjacks out there: The war on drugs started with racism. It was to harass Billie Holiday because she wouldn't stop singing 'Strange Fruit'. It has nothing to do with craziness or addiction. Ancient humans took psychedelics it is in our genes. What ever we do will not stop global warming! I think it’s Rewardia because I did another Qualtrics survey elsewhere a few days ago and they already changed it to Albo. I even mentioned in my feedbacks that they were quick to update the change.

REDLINING (by white bankers) is used as an excuse to deny black people access to loans, keeping them in neighborhoods with lower property values and little investment opportunities. Meanwhile, white neighborhoods, were seen as more desirable, worthy of development, and easier access to loans. Welcome to the real USA!
Jellypony
Oh Walter W that happens every where not just in America and yes it is very wrong and very unethical, but the bank needs guarantees and unless some one is going to guarentee that the black man won't forfeit on a loan they simply won't give it to any of them. Very sad and very unjust. It happens all the time and the black man works just as hard as a white man (maybe some times even harder.) But what can one do, go guarantor on a loan for some one they don't know? Would you do that?

Does anyone have a blog or website that is really easy to use? I am going to set mine up this week, so if you love the site you use, please let me know and also drop a referral link if you get a bonus for referring someone!
Arthur
I created my own website using Xara web designer pro (it has heaps of templates) then I searched for cheap web hosting and domain name, the cheapest I found was Hostso, as my site is personal (not business) I did not venture into the referral link

Everyone seems to be trying to do other peoples work...the local supermarket wants you to get a home loan from them...the power company want to sell you broadband....the insurance company wants to sell you roadside assistance....Apple wants to make cars...the roadside assistance wants to be a bank...what's going on here?...any ideas?
Larry S 382961
I wait for the government to give back some of the money they rip off us for taxes, road tolls etc but can’t see it happening

It's thought that one of the reasons for rising rentals is the availability of short stay accommodation, run by them companies like those of Airbnb. Some people are saying that these companies should be regulated as they are helping to force up market rents, and they are taking advantage of the market to earn money for their particular-- company, and preventing some people from accessing long term rental properties. Your Views?
Jellypony
We had a brand new house we rented to a couple with 2 children for 4 years while we did our trip around Australia and I would never rent any thing again. The amount the real estate said was normal wear and tear was just total BS. Who can blow up an oven in 4 years? Tried to fix the water tank after their puppy chewed the wires, totally failed to any way. So with short term rentals I think the damage could be worse and I would never do that because there is no respect for other peoples belongings. Use and abuse then some of the better tenants are tarred with the same brush. Like most things there is always some one whom will spoil it for every one else. I read about a couple with 2 children and another on the way having to live in a tent because there aren't any rentals available in their area. It's sad and temporary housing needs to be arranged for these people. As much as I wouldn't rent any thing again surely there are others that would. Some are selling up as interest rates rise and this will only add to the problem but then a first home buyer gets a chance to buy. Rent is dead money so if the younger ones can buy it is better but then are they still going to be around that area in 3 or 4 years? It's a hard one that is for sure.

Would you move countries at the drop of the hat? Only having less than a month to decide I've done it. It was a blast. I left NZ to go and live in Dallas, Texas (San Antonio, Arlington, and Grand Prairie) back in 2000. I lived there for the next 8 1/2 years and had a blast. Unfortunate circumstances meant that I had to move back to NZ, and it's where I had stayed since. Given the opportunity. I would so do it again in a heartbeat, but somewhere different...

I am rather taken with Finland. It is known as the happiest country on earth. Their language is hard to learn I believe. I think I could live there for a few years. It is a year and a half since making a move in my own state and still haven't finished unpacking. No, don't think I could go through it again.

Any Australian Rewardian's going to the Polls? Anyone worth voting for? I just saw a news article about Scott Morrison tackling some small child on the playing field. What the heck.
PatCat
Well after those results I feel that not all my fellow Ossies have been asleep at the wheel. We are pretty tolerant of our pollies but we finally woke up and kicked out the marketeer - Morrison. Trouble is it's been 16 years since Labour has been "in power". Just hope they don't go all sloppy and start having internal wars like they have been doing lately.

I was under the impression that it is illegal to require people to provide such information, at least here in Australia, yet more and more surveys are asking this question, and screening you out if you say "prefer not to answer". Can someone enlighten me on what the relevance of this question is to 99% of survey topics?
Chosen
I am white in winter and brown in summer, yellow when I am scared and
pink to red in the shower. It is a real dilemma when I have to make a choice on each survey.

Yes I have seen one in Melbourne when I as a teenager and the nest day the media reported sightings of an UFO
Warrior Woman
I have twice seen one and I am basically a skeptic about flying saucers and Aliens. However on both occasions neither the Coastguard, Airforce, Police or anyone else can explain the lights I saw, which were brilliant blue when hovering, then flashed green as the zig-zagged back and forth for about 10 minutes over the ancient extinct volcano on our property, before flashing back to brilliant blue and disappearing over the horizon at an incredible speed.. They lit up the sky which woke my daughter on a neighbouring property on the second occasion. On the first occasion I was with about 6 other adults and we all reported our sighting. Several other people reported them on both occasions but we never received any logical explanations. Definitely unidentified flying objects

Recently, Elon Musk, the world's richest person, has taken control of Twitter. What are your views on this? Will he make Twitter better or worse?
KD burner account
I don't understand why Elon and Twitter is such a big deal. Not to sound condescending but the majority of the world don't actually care about Twitter. On a side note: Notice how almost every time Elon is reported on in the news etc he is either doing some very silly dance or pulling a weird face when they show footage of him? Doesn't matter what channel. Does the media feel threatened by him or something?

Mine are: Always treat people as you would like to be treated, Laugh a lot, no-one is getting away from here alive Love lots and tell people you love them, you never know if it will be the last time you see them.

Humans are not good at coping with risks they have never encounter before (including me), as exemplified by the politics of climate change (profits over people - foundation of capitalism). My guess is we have less than hundred years of existence on this planet - based on our ongoing and accelerating destruction of the planet (aka capitalism) - with a booming population explosion added to the mix. My personal guess is we have less than hundred years of human existence on this plane -...

Why do most of the advertised lengths of surveys not reflect any accuracy. I have seen a 3 minute survey being 35 minutes when opened. Or some that say 160 minutes but end up being 15 minutes.

We didn't want to shut down over COVID-19 because we would lose money...we started opening up too early, so we could make more money....we cannot stop global warming in time because it would cost too much and our "economies" would suffer...we cannot apply proper sanctions to Russia because they are supplying everyone with power...it would cost too much to stop all death and murder going on in their current invasion... Britain hasn't applied the same sanctions...
Evie
We did not open too early; we shouldn't have shut down. We didn't shut down for Swine flu, bird flu, or any other health issue. The problem isn't money, it's rampant inflation due to an idiot who shouldn't be in charge. For anyone who hates capitalism, I do hope you live in (or move to) a socialist county. Let me know how well that works out for you LOL

My Mother said when she met my Grandmother for the first time, she noticed 2 of their plates were chipped. Instead of helping to wash them up she deliberately dropped them, smashing them to pieces. She said now you will have to get new ones! What do you think about eating/drinking from chipped or cracked kitchenware? Do you think it s offensive to serve up your guests on such decor?
BLM
It is NOT the quality (chipped or cracked) of the kitchenware that counts, it is the quality of the food being served to you in a personal (or family) setting THAT counts! I appreciate the time it took to serve a well-cooked meal - not the appearance of the kitchenware - as long as the kitchenware is clean and safe to eat from - Bon Appetit :-))!

The Australian government should be funding kids more. At a state, national and international level. As a family, we have been thousands on my daughter Going to several competitions and national camps. Without any government assistance. Not a rich family. It is extremely hard to find sponsorship. I'd like to know is there other people In similar situations
bw
romac i agree with everything you said. i live in nz and i find that today every body expects the govt to pay for every thing, i think children have all the sporting they want at school and if parents want more for them let them pay for it themselves

This is a faux poll to poll whether it is worth doing a poll on Rewardia. How long do people normally wait til their poll comes up? Do some people never have their poll suggestion ever appear? Who decides? So many questions...so little time. Does anyone care haha. A. no B. maybe C. no D. yaaaaawn
Thomas (Rewardia Support)
Hi Mary. I have asked our content manager about it, here is the answer: you have 1 published Daily Poll and 5 declined. Two of them were about "What would your favourite dog be?" or so, declined because we already have a lot of "dog" Polls. The reason for the rest three polls is a very trivial - the text of the Question is too long. If we've got some Polls with a long text in the Question and some compact ones, shorts will win

Can you see changes in male behaviour around you? I'm talking about fake six-packs, calf implants, nose jobs and make-up. Do you know many Australian men taking grooming to the next level?
Happiness
I haven't noticed it it Australia, but I live in the bush. I see men and women looking after themselves but the ones that are doing that are the minority and usually on TV reality shows or wanna be's
19-May-22

How are you? No, really ... how ARE you? Yes you. I was taught as a child to say "well, thank you". So I still do. I could be dying. Had surgery. Lost a loved one. Fighting fires. But "I'm well, thanks". How do you break a lifelong polite habit, and should we?
APB
I bought a book for a friend who had recently moved to Australia.."How to be 'Stralian"....in this invaulable text book ..it advised that the locals would ask you questions like "how's it going mate?"..or "you right mate?"...and that it was important to understand that nobody cared about how you actually were at all...that they really didn't want to know....and that in Australia ....the only acceptable answer was "good"
....there is a lot of truth in that!

Since Christmas, I no longer received a hard copy of Woolworths catalogue in my letterbox. Whilst I agree with the environmental benefits of not wasting papers, I do miss seeing the hard copy. I know I can go online to look at the weekly specials, like what I have done with Coles for the last 12 months, I find that I actually stopped going to both supermarkets. In the past, the specials in the catalogue would be the main factor for me deciding which supermarket to visit...
Evie
YES! Paper/physical copies are so much better. You can keep them around as long as you want, earmark pages you like, and it's easier to go back and forth. Online isn't the same. Environmental bs is just that: bs. Paper is recyclable and technology is made from plastic and fossil fuels anyway.
14-May-22

Most of the planet seems to be saying "its OK... happy Christmas" and then slamming the door again on boxing day....in Australia we are opening up the door to a massive flood of covid...with a fair bit of enthusiasm...New Years Eve massive super spreader parties and celebrations could be the turning point when every part of Australia looks like the developing mess in NSW...are we all ready for this?...is it too late to exercise a bit of common sense?....
Timtam
Yep common sense has gone out the window with a govt who is more concerned about the next election than the health of the Australian people. The new rule changes are absolute bullshit and have no basis in science, purely politics to hide the real number of covid cases. Rapid tests are an important tool, but the lack of a mechanism to report the +ve cases detected by rapid tests smacks of the desire to cover up the true number of cases.
The 4 hour exposure rule and household only as close contacts is absolute, unscientific, political rubbish.

Are we in denial about alcohol? Why do you drink and how much in your opinion is too much? Are the guidelines for no more than two standard drinks per day realistic?
Jellypony
Depends on if it is hard liquor or not. We have 2 beers and some times 2 wines and occasionally we drink every day but only for a little while and then we stop and go back to our 3 nights off a week. Some would think that was excessive. We enjoy our drinkies and nibbles. I don't care what other people think, we do as we please in our own home and we are no threat to any one. We are careful and we manage our own health and I don't think it is doing us any damage (yet)? We are here enjoying life and we are happy. I don't judge others so why should they judge us.

It concerns me greatly going on a shopping expedition to the local supermarket, especially of late. Has anybody else out there cringed at price increases of meat?... Actually, I should say everything in the supermarket lately. Then there's the price of Petrol & Diesel... Yeah, "WOW" enough said! Yes it is tough out there .We are a couple of aged pensioners & I can get 4 meals from a medium chicken ,Pot of chook stock(I boil the chook using onions ,carrots & celery(don't over cook keep the stock & veg)use the 2 legs(not thighs) & wings.I brown them & with roast potatoes & veg, I use a little amount of stock to make gravy.Meal 1.The thighs we have cold with Salad,Meal 2. 1/2 the stock I put diced pumpkin & diced potato in cook gently in the stock when cooked I mash vegies well for wholesome pumpkin soup & serve with crusty bread meal 3. ,The breast I break in pieces I drain a tin of asparagus pieces add to chicken,I make a white sauce using stock(not milk)Add a handful frozen peas meal 4. With the push for green energy all the rage over the past number of years, have you put up solar panels on your roof? Why or why not?

God, no!!!! Another BS scheme by the Governments, the Greenies etc. Whilst good in theory, it just doesn't work, the outlay is too much, damage not covered, lifetime is short. I have enough problems!!!

It's been suggested by both major parties in Australia to increase the retirement age. (The age of 70 has been mentioned.) I have a relative who retired about two years ago due to hip problems. He was a former truck driver. Lucky for him...he has enough money in superannuation to rely on. (Do you think that it should be raised?) Not everyone has got enough of the super...and if their health isn't what it used to be...it might be a struggle for some. Some might find...

Have you ever been called up for Jury Duty? Do you think it should be compulsory? I mean, it can't be easy for people who are forced into this position. I'm lucky so far ... I haven't been ... but a family member was some years back. Your Views?
Sandra C 12043
Never called up, but would have done it if needed. Not an easy task if you are called up for a murder trial like a friend did. She was called up for the Truro Murders and I think it lasted 6 weeks. She was a nervous wreck after it.

I have constantly been on diets, I lose my weight, and it slowly creeps back on - what is the secret is there any diet out there that actually makes you happy and keeps your weight off and motivated?

I'm not slim and don't try to be. Overweight but at my age why worry. I can get around, play bowls and am mobile. Better than many 80 year olds.

To prepare for future disasters, do you think which kinds of food never spoil, and we can start stocking them now?
'smee,SWQ!
Why not! ... Rice, Wheat, Honey etcetera - but to digress remember when milk would go off after a couple of days (note use by dates on it now!) Bread ... was stale after a day and sold at half price as "Day Old Bread"!

I'm in my 60s, raised a family, worked, kept house all of that stuff, but I would never allow TV when the kids were getting ready for school. I preferred books or crosswords and puzzles. Even at home between jobs I couldn't be bothered with it but now in retirement that TV is never off grrr, personally I think it could be binned anyone else like me?
QMY10
Lived with no TV as child out west n no TV available all hours when rearing kids regionally but once we did defiant none before school at meals or till homework done. I still can't handle a TV on n nobody listening or watching it...I am not a big movie watcher either ...so if mine broke would replace for hubby only

During these days I noticed that the economy in the country has entered a state of inflation, and prices are constantly rising, especially the energy sector, According to my follow-up to local and international news, I realized that global economy has entered a critical stage. What are the steps that may limit the deterioration of the economy in the country? What did you do during the last period to maintain your financial balance ?
Michelle S 553303
This inflationary rise is by design in order to crash the economies of the world and destroy the fiat money system so that the WEF can bring in their Fourth Industrial Revolution and confirm their "Great Reset" which will cause a completely digital economy to replace the present democratic countries and bring in the NWO. Anyone who hasn't been paying attention to these psychopaths ought to because the end game is to cause a global famine that would lead to their being able to reduce global populations by more than 2/3rds and get rid of us "useless eaters"! The time is rapidly approaching when families will have to make a choice between paying the mortgage or rent or eating. It is THAT serious. But TPTB don't want riots on their hands so they have already destroyed the health of billions around the globe with their deadly shots, falsely labelled "vaccines" and in a 12 month period from, I believe, February 2021 to February 2022 the US suffered as many deaths in the working age population than died in the entire Vietnam war. The millenials are dropping like flies especially from cardiac issues. This is an absolute fact but you won't hear it on MSM. The hyperinflation will render the currency of virtually every country useless just like In Venezuela and Zimbabwe and Yugoslavia in the 1990's. The war in Russia and Ukraine is merely a distraction and someone to blame for this manufactured shortage and supply chain issues, but they have existed for far longer than just a few months. If you can afford to stock up on foods like beans, grains, pasta's and tinned foods do it IMMEDIATELY. Same applies if you have the capacity to pay extra on your mortgage or rent. A global crisis far worse than the Great Depression is coming and by later this year even MSM won't be able to hide it. Mock if you like but I have plenty of other things to do rather than spread lies on a survey platform. It's going to be HORRIFIC!

Do you think voting should be compulsory? Are you a swinging voter? Has maturity change the way you think with regard to voting? Have you changed the way you vote from the way your parents encouraged you to vote ... A one off payment is to be announced by the Australian treasurer in the upcoming budget to help with the cost of living. Would that be a vote winner. If it were a princely sum of a couple of thousand dollars, I think I would have to take the money, even...
