I would say, selfishness. Only being concerned about what they want and what makes them happy. Couldn't care less about what the other partner wants or needs, doesn't care about the children. Some how I found myself married to such a person, the marriage officially lasted 12 years.

The worst thing ever pulled was against my Dad. It would never enter his mind that someone - especially someone who supposedly loved him - could or would ever be so cruel. He and his girlfriend at the time had been talking their future and whether or not they should get married and move in together, selling one of their homes. They always decided no, they both liked their homes and couldn't agree on who would sell. One day this woman came to my Dad and said she's thought about it some more and she will marry him and sell her house. He was happy that they could be together and he could keep the home he'd built for his family. Once she had him totally hooked and getting excited about the prospect of this she goes, "April fool!!". He was humiliated! Shocked! Angry! This was the worst thing playing with his emotions like that. I'm not sure that I've forgiven her for it just yet because I still get angry at her for that when I think about it. Their relationship always had that scar on it and he never again asked her to marry him. They still went out a couple of times a week for a while but he started introducing her to new people as 'my friend' and not 'my girlfriend'. I never liked April Fool's Day because most people don't know how to prank well... putting sugar in the salt shaker is okay but nothing harmful in ANY way... physically, mentally, emotionally, etc. It's just mean and unacceptable.

chef on tv? why wud anyone beleive ANYthing they are saying, they are trying to make a living. they r not the real source of truth. almost all foods have an amt of protein, so are just more easily digested than others. Animal proteins are very hard to digest, and can't be used by the body until they are broken down to amino acids. (this takes alot of energry away from other thigns the body has to do) ...its why we feeel like we are going into a food coma, after a huge (usually protein meal), all energy is diverted from all but essential body organs. Most plant proteins don't take nearly as much to digest, except for beans. Not only are they hard to digest, they are also hard on the kidneys (like animal proteins are). Bottom line is, if you still want to eat meat, cut down substantially. We do not need the amt of animal products we eat these days. U will save ur kidneys and be much healthier. Doctors are only human - When I was 60-62yrs I had been feeling less than 100% and had been to my doctors multiple times, with a ton of tests - Blood test just about every visit. After more than 12mths of this I ended up in A & E Hospital with very low body temp and was having "Rigors attacks". After many hours the Hospital staff confirmed I had UTI. Doctors NIL - Hospital 1. Doctors DONT GET IT REAL all the time (Just sometimes)

Definitely. I was sitting at the back of the bus with my best friend when these 2 guys got on and one sat next to me. I was reading a comic and as I turned the page he said "I haven't finished reading that page" so I let him finish reading it. He asked what I was doing the following Saturday and I told him my baby brother was having a Birthday party. Apparently he looked for me on the day and couldn't find me. The following week my friend and I were walking in town when a bus stopped, where they aren't meant to, and he got off the bus with his mate. We started going out that day. I was 13 and he was 15. When he actually saw where I lived he told me he used to live at the bottom of our street and saw a young girl collecting the newspaper from the front lawn one morning and couldn't believe it was actually me. We got married when he turned 21 and we were together until he passed away from cancer just before his 63rd Birthday. It's been almost 5 years now and I still miss him. Especially his big warm hugs.

This is a bit of a mixed up discussion topic. Mental health issues and domestic violence are two different things. Mental health issues do not lead to domestic violence. Domestic violence is about power and control, and can be exhibited in many ways, not just physically, and not just by men towards their partners. It does however frequently lead to mental health issues for those who have experienced it or been exposed to it. Getting adequate and timely support for mental health issues, for men, women, and children is not as easy as people seem to think it is. There are long waiting lists to get the appropriate help, and sometimes it can be difficult to even understand, yet explain to another person what the problem is. I agree that boys are a bit confused as to what their roles in society are meant to be at the moment. The rules keep changing, and people keep telling them that they are \u201cbad\u201d, because they were born make. Especially if they are white.

Excuse me!? I think you will find most long distance truckies are the most considerate and consistently safest drivers on the road. It is the impatient arrogance and rudeness of other road users that cause the accidents and other issues on the road! These giant machines weigh an awful lot (tons) and they require both room and space to stop their vehicles and/or turn corners, especially suburban intersections. They also have large areas of 'blind spots' where they simply cannot see cars & other vehicles - just like blind spots in a ar, on.y bigger. If you have any concerns re truck drivers and their driving, might I suggest you do a little research and take a bit more caution on the road to ensure your own safety and that of the truck drivers, too ??

I hope that the people that you mentioned are just plain frightened by the prospect of suicide. I'm sure they don't understand just how hopeless life can seem for some. Many people that I knew thought I was doing just fine. I had almost everything that I wanted, like so many people, but I came a couple of doctors visits from taking my own life. Circumstances, being what they were at the time, left me feeling so lost and hopeless that I couldn't see any way out. A good doctor and some very good drugs no have me living again with some hope for the future. No, these feelings are no joke and need to be diagnosed and treated as soon as possible. Hi APB I live in a Ryman Retirement Village called Keith Park in Hobsonville in Auckland. We have a 3 bed apartment, two bathrooms, and a patio, total 112sq meters and we have two car parks. Our village will not be finished for at least another 12 months, We are ground floor for our two cats who also enjoy living here. There is nothing beige here, the building look bright and modern. Google us to see. We have so many activites Ryman have employed a full time person to organize them. We play bingo on Monday nights. Nothing depressing here it is all go go go. Nothing is too much bother for the staff they even water our patio garden when we are away. It is way better than some hotels we have stayed in. With their security there is little chance of a break in or your car being stolen. That gives you cheaper insurance, all in all its a WINWIN situation.

I have been having unusual dreams and de ja vu since I was very small. The most disturbing was a reoccurring dream of a close friend going away,for about 3 months every night this included other people and places they went . A couple of days before I saw a horrific car accident but was constantly pushed back from the flashing lights and crash scene.. I wouldn't have to adapt, as I do not rely on the internet, yes I use it on occasion, but I still have the ability to use a land line to contact friends and also to hop in the car and visit and I love reading and playing games with the grand kids and great grand kids, and life would be more relaxing when you didn't have to worry about scams and AI, also I very rarely shop on line, love going into department stores, trying on clothes and getting the correct size without having to pack up and return and wait weeks for hopefully the correct size.

It's difficult to give you any advice, as I don't know your skills, experience or any training you may have had or what industry you are looking to build your business in. As for me, I have been self-employed since the mid 1980's and started every business I had without any capital to draw from. One of my most successful businesses is one I started during a recession when people were losing their jobs and companies where closing down. My advice is to start small and simple, then build on that as opportunities arise. Don't be afraid to get your hands dirty, be honest, be reliable and give your customers the quality work that they will be happy to pay for. And don't waste money on a fancy office, a flash car or the latest hi-tech phone. Remember always that you work for profit and not to pay off debts.

I up-sized eighteen years ago when I stopped full time work. I went from a nice two bedroom unit in Sydney to a spacious, open living space with an upstairs (master bedroom and ensuite, living area and deck) and downstairs (two bedrooms, bathroom, laundry, kitchen and large dining and living area. Deck at front of house, side of house wrapping around to back of house all with panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean. (3 min walk to beach ion central Qld coast). Whenever I walk into a "normal" house now it always seems pokey and small. I would not like living in a small space again.

Solar panels are somewhat of a con trick. It costs a fortune to get them installed, then you need an expensive battery to store the power for when there is no sun. You need to keep the panels clean for best efficiency (difficult since they're usually on the roof), even then the panels and the battery *will* wear out and need replacing. Even worse, they claim it is "green" energy, yet making and disposing of the panels and batteries is hideously polluting. Best not to bother and just stick with regular mains supply. If you can (not possible in New Zealand any longer \ud83d\ude41), use a government owned supplier so you aren't being charged excessive amounts simply to fill the greedy pockets of the electricity company's management and shareholders.

According to the Bible, adultery is grounds for divorce but, if you choose not to divorce (if you're married), it will take time living together to regain trust, and must be earned by your mate. People had manners, they were polite and respected each other, there was no road rage and you hardly ever heard of domestic violence. you could go to bed and leave your windows open, and even your front door, most people were friendly, knew their neighbours and cared about them and even looked out for them. We didn't have air-conditioning, coloured TV, a self parking car or microwave and we certainly didn't have the internet, ATM's, Facebook or Tic tok, but yes things were much better. You were swerved by a real person and if you phoned a business you weren't left hanging on with a droning voice telling you your call is important but no important enough to speak to you. More and more now I hear people say they preferred things when they were younger.

I always wanted to be a Mum. In the process I have been a nurse, a psychologist, a teacher, a companion, a protector, a carer and so much more. It has been my greatest joy and sorrow, but I wouldn't have it any other way. It was just the ass I chose to be their father that was the problem.

Is this your first baby or do you have others you need somebody to help with the care of them? Having visitors is tiring so you may need to set a time limit for everybody, unless maybe they offer to help with various household chores and you may be able to grab some rest while baby is asleep. I'm sure things like doing the washing would be helpful even better if you can sort it to the point of which room it goes in.............I would be grateful for casual help if it is a c-section as there is a lot of things you are not supposed to do......... That's when you need a granny flat to evict them to.

I agree with most people.Health and Family are important and life is too short to have arguments and issues with people as you never now what is around the corner.Our family have just lost our 31 year old daughter in September 2023 after a 12 months battle with cancer.Now besides our own grieving we have to deal looking after her 9 year old daughter and trying to explain that mummy loved her and she will be watching over her always.Hugs your loved ones and tell them every day that you love them

I no longer like to use the word respect. To me respect is earned not given as of right for position. I use the word courtesy. This came about because of a headmaster at one of my kids school said he "deserved respect" as he was headmaster. It didn't matter that a decision he had made was not correct for the situation [not just my opinion it didn't directly affect my child so no bias] I always show courtesy as stated above respect is earned

It amazes me now when it says sex there are so many options and once upon a time it was either male or female. Are we now going to have to have jails for all the others? Jails with no gender at all or does it go from what you were born as? Put in males that are now females or vice versa would be rather dangerous. It's more excepted these days too and people are choosing to raise their children as neither gender which I think can be confusing for every one especially the child. Why can't we just except what we are born as and be happy with that. There's always some one that wants change and can't be happy with what they have, it's so sad and it does destroy families which is even sadder again.

Sounds great but, in Australia, where we have 4 Large Supermarket chains, Aldi, Coles, Foodland IGA and Woolworths, the instant any of them, particularly Coles or Woolworths, they are both big but not as big as Foodland IGA and compared to the rest of the world minnows when compared to the likes of the 12,000 stroong Aldi shops, try to do anything the self-appointed Great Protectors of the Public, Australia's majority Foreign Owned Media and the Taxpayer Owned Australian Broadcasting Commission accuse them of bullying, of standover tactics. Coles and Woolworths simply cannot win, never mind that they are Australian, they employ 100s of 1000s of Australians and unlike German-owned Aldi they keep the money they make in Australia and pay their fair share of Australian Taxes. We don't shop Aldi because of their dishonest advertising.

As I'm getting to the end of my life, of course, I look back through my past. Things I did, people I've met and the things that maybe I should have done.

Maybe the attendees of the climate summits should not take private jets and limos. They could do it by a zoom call. It was good enough for our children. We can all do a little, I personally can’t afford an electric car, but if the millionaires in DC want to buy one for me I would gladly drive it.

My pension is 100% tax-free and the amount is 'quite' generous (and I get a 'quite' generous COLA - every four years - 4%). - and I have been retired for 25 years and counting. In addition, I get an alimony check from my ex-wife - every month since our divorce. Hence, my retirement is on the decadent and hedonistic level. Furthermore, I am a member of rewardia.com - I can't ask in all honesty ask for more (anyway not in good conscience) - LIFE IS GOOD! I will sheepishly admit my retirement is GREAT!

When I trained as an EN (Enrolled Nurse) in the early 1990's I was paid for the entire year, whether it was a study day or a working on the ward day. As a newly divorced mother with 3 young children I could not have done it if I had to pay for it instead of being paid. Having hands on training is best for good patient care. Years later so many times young RN's would come onto the ward doing a 'placement' and they would complain about having to do some basic nursing task, they would say that they are supposed to be giving medications and taking blood for tests not making beds and emptying bed pans. They are just in the job for the money and the 'prestige'.

Staying at home ... it costs far less, I know where everything is, I can't "forget" anything, there aren't piles of tourists, ....

From what I have heard on several podcasts, nothing is private anymore! It is a scary fact, and what is even more disturbing is the fact that people keep putting themselves in danger. Cell phones are a must when they don't need to be! Why don't people care? We lived without them just fine for centuries!!! Yes, they are convenient, but at what price? We accept any technology that is thrown at us, and we have no idea what the ramifications could be because we have no idea how they work! Those that do are speaking out, but no one is listening. Even when your devices are turned off, you are at threat! Where is this heading? There isn't much that the average person has to hide, so why track us? I think some of it is for merchandising and to monitor where we go and what places we frequent, but what about the government? I seem to have nothing they would be interested in so what do they want from us? That fact is scary! I hate cell phones because they have ruined our society. We can't even visit people without texting others while you are with them. To me, that is rude. If you want to talk and/or text to other people don't do it while you are spending time with me when I don't see you that often! Often times, people don't even hear what I say because they are on social media while they're here! Let's think about how unimportant that makes other people feel! Are those texts that important? I use a cell phone only because I travel alone and no one knows where I am. If I had an emergency, it could save my life. It isn't even turned on unless I need it! With all the crap that's going on, we need to get our heads in the places they need to be. Take care of your community. I love the Amish because they are there for their community and help each other out! They work hard, and we have become too lazy to even get up and turn the TV channel! Pathetic, aren't we? How are we going to handle what might be coming in this country? I wish I could say this on a public forum where it would be heard and make a difference. I know people are going to do what they are doing until they have no other choice and aren't prepared.

I had thought of Australia being enlightened when compared to the USA. However, when things go bad - blame minorities or indigenous people - standard operating procedure for the majority - LOL!

Mostly depends on genes and diet as to what size your body is to be. Some can be well overweight with no health issues others just have health issue no matter their body size. If you do daily exercise and eat mostly healthy go with the flow, don't let all the hype get you down as that will create more health [both mental and physical] issues that being over weight

There is no time limit on grief. It takes as long as it takes. My mother died in 2014 and, while most of the time I'm fine, there are still moments when I'll just suddenly burst into tears. Mum lost twins seven years before I was born, yet she still got quiet, and a little down, when it would of been their birthday. I still see things when I'm in a store and think "Ooh, mum would love that", and then I remember. Grief is a wound. It may scab over, even scar lightly, but it never fully heals. Sometimes it feels like it's forever since she died, other moments, it's like it was yesterday. I find the run up to Mother's Day to be hard (not the day itself). All the advertising "Remember Mum this Mother's Day", I just want them to shut up. And the run up to Christmas... Both our birthdays are at the beginning of December (3 days apart), so that's hard. My uncle died 2 weeks ago, and his birthday is 2 days after Christmas, so this year is going to be hard. My thoughts go out to all who are grieving.
