The worst experience I've had with being invisible was a few years ago. I had recently been released from hospital after an accident. I remember being put on my Father's shoulders when they came to Adelaide. My older sister wanted to see them so we, along with thousands of others lined the road coming from the airport to see them when they drove past. As they slowly drove past, everyone...my sister included... rushed the open topped car they were in.

I was flying from AL to Sydney when I was in an incident. The guy next to me started jiggling. At first I though he was listening to music, then realised he was sick. I called the stewardess and told her. The next thing was the classic announcement "is there a doctor on the plane". They found one, and he and the stewardess started trying to help the guy. The stewardess turned to me and said "the doctor needs more space, and the only spare seat is in first class, would you mind moving?" So in the spirit of helping out I made the sacrifice and moved to first class for the rest of the trip.

Humans are wired to look for negative patterns as it used to potentially save our life. So there comes a point where you have to CHOOSE to move forward and force new better habits, memories and pathways in the brain. Yes this takes time but consider the alternative. You get older and the realization that you will die one day starts to hit. You look back at your life and what did you do with it...sulk, sit depressed over the past. That truly is a life wasted. It always takes two to tango so when you say that you have been betrayed by your friends, family AND spouse then I'm sorry but you definitely contributed in some way. False memory is often instant especially for those who suffer trauma so no doubt the past you're remembering is not entirely accurate and more forcefully negative from your own presumptions. No person is ever so innocent that the world completely dominates them through no fault of their own. Like attracts like so start by focusing on your OWN actions and be the change you want to see in the world. If someone has betrayed you it's because you let them. Learn to be your own champion and put yourself first but be kind to others along the way without compromising your truest values. There are few true victims in society but by choosing to be one especially after so many years and not moving on you are not only actively creating a life of misery for yourself but you feed it to those around you making their lives harder and repeating the cycle. They must have seen it somewhere on TV or in a book. The response of "That not even a word" is 0 out of 10. Don't put the ideas of children down. I think, personally, that we often don\u2019t appreciate what we have until it\u2019s gone and relationships break down when you don\u2019t take the time to nurture them. People don\u2019t like feeling that they are being taken for granted and we can do this without realising the effect it has on those we genuinely care about until the time comes when they feel so undervalued that the relationship falls apart. I would love to be able to go back in time and spend more time with the people that I loved who are now gone out of my life but I can\u2019t. I got my black belt in TKD, with Palado TaeKwonDo Academy in a small town, it took me 15yrs (as I had two kids during that time so a few breaks), but I kept returning (with my kids who are also Blue belts atm. I suppose I got a bit of a head start on everybody else. Earlier this month I moved interstate back to sunny Victoria( well sometimes it is). I left a d.v relationship with basically my clothes and my youngest son and his things to be with family. So decluttering DONE. Now just focusing on my health mental and physical as well as slowly saving to replace all I left behind. Pretty proud of myself at this point as I thought previously the only way I would get out was in a wooden box. I look forward to a better year than many more previous ones.i know for sure it can't possibly be worse. For the first time in quite I while I love my life. Hope everyone else out there has a reason to smile this coming New Year and sees us all better off than the last.

Of course it does. it can lead to neglect, wsexual, physical and mental abuse. Of course things like alcohol and drugs don't help do they? We have an increasing problem in which children, some as young as 9 years old, are roaming the streets late at night committing crimes, being arrested and then the bleeding hearts come out and accuse the Police and all but those responsible for the problem! The Police and othes are so scared of being accused of racism that they dare not ask the Most Important Question of All. Where are the Parents whilst their children are running amok? I'll tell you where they are. They are at home blind drunk or drugged, both are mental health issues.

I guess we all think that way at some stage in life. We have not moved mountains so we think we have not achieved success however success is not based on what we have not done. Success is being happy. Success is confidence. Success is raising healthy kids. Success is much more than being top of the class. Success is getting through life in one piece and so much more.

Because their money is paid into an account it is only a number. They never actually see the cash as in the old days when your pay was in an envelope and you could see it!!

I think college, trades, and university will become a thing of the past - when AI reaches its full potential. I think going into the military for twenty years and getting a livable pension will become the norm - as their will be more wars over dwindling natural resources and ever-increasing population. Also, becoming a police officer will become your second mandatory option for twenty years which will give you another livable pension - crowd control will become an issue as the fight for dwindling natural resources will become more intensified with an ever-increasing population. The not-so-distant future will be a dark and ugly place for the overwhelming majority of people - not because of AI - but because humans are incapable of learning from our past mistakes and our luck as a specie will finally RUN OUT!

I recommend The Clan of the Cave Bear. It is about early man and the struggle to survive. Written by Jean Auel. There is about 5 books in the series. Not to be missed.

The school system and newly trained teachers have a lot to answer for. Teach your own kids the truth and have discussions.

Meet my newly adopted dog, Panda! I'm going to pick him up after I log out. We think he's dachshund and terrier mix. He is a tiny little guy, but way overweight, so I'll be working on getting it down. Panda is 7, and will be a great companion for both Sadie, my toy poodle who is 12 1/2, and myself! ;-D

I had to except the fact that I had a Stroke. At age 39 I Stroked as my daughters and I were getting ready for the day. My daughers were only 12yrs and 7yrs old at the time. It did not happen right away, I was very angry, I spent 2 months in the Rehab Hospital. Every1 I knew except for 1 person avoided me like the plaque. After many years I finally gave in and excepted that I had Stroked, Im now a totally different person, but it took quite a few years for me to be where I am now. They do not know why I stroked, but I truly beleive that it saved my life. Without getting to much in to it, I was drinking all the time, getting into fights etc. I am now though a much happier person. I am now 62yrs old, and I do not think I would of made it this long if I was the same person I was right after I got out of rehab.

Well I am probably going to stir some feathers here ... but I honestly think a lot of the problem is our current lifestyle. So many people are controlled by either their mobile phone or social media. People used to get out more. People used to have gardens that they could enjoy and these days a lot of people are living in either apartments or pokey little places or houses all up against one another...I have even read articles from Experts that this type of living can cause depression and mental health issues. Don't worry I am expecting some negative response ....... it is just what I believe. I fully understand that the days of big gardens are out - but I feel they have gone to the other extreme.

Make them clean up the mess and pay for all costs no slaps on the wrists and bail or 'public service duties' - then jail them for a year. They need to learn respect.

While I don't have a lint problem at home, I used to work at a university that did have a real problem. The lint bunnies grew so large that they hissed at the students passing by. I also heard that a student was actually attacked by one, but there is no proof.

Australia seems to be importing the people nobody wants, even their own country. They come here for a better life but want to change Australia to the shit-hole they came from.

Currently travelling round Aus in a camper can. Was a bucket list item for years. Another is to live in Japan for at least 6 months. Maybe next year?

I am ambidextrous. I was forced while in school to choose either one not both. This was hard for me growing up, yet through the years, I grew up I would practice with both hands, while not in school. So glad I never let these teachers stumble me into only using one hand. \ud83d\ude01

That why our generation behave themselves (baby boomers)because we knew we would get a clip behind the ear. But in this PC world you can do this know so I blame the younger generation for this. If they kick the back of my seat I would turn around and say if you keep this up I will brake your legs. If they are front with a reclining seat I would tip reclining seat saying I was getting up accidents happen Nd with rubbish I would throw my rubbish on them. You may get it I am not PC and I will call a spade a spade and don't care who I may offend. Not one should have to put up with that kind behaviour.

Personally I wouldn't give kids man made chemicals to sort out a natural chemical imbalance they already have thats been diagnosed. I think it would lead to problems later down the track being on drugs from an early age. 40 or 50 years ago you didn't here about adhd or autism until someone unleashed it on the world, now everything a kid does that we used to do as kids is labeled. Maybe they should look at the food that is consumed by the kids as to the causes of their labeled diagnosis.

First thing , to become rich is to put some of one's own income away ( save it) also known as the long way. Second thing , borrowing someone else's money is a quick way of becoming in debt, once you are in debt , in is near impossible to become rich. Borrowing more money, and investing it, is no guarantee of getting out of the original debt , and becoming rich. It may end up worse off and owing more debt. Remember this simple philosophy : If one can keep a roof over one's head ( rent/ mortgage), pay one's utilities ( electricity/ gas/ phone/ water etc) ,if one can feed and clothe one's self, then one is rich!
