When my daughter turned 1 year old, July 20, 1969, men landed on the moon. I have been against the space program from the beginning, and I'd love to know how others feel. My thinking is, if the Billions of dollars spent on the space program over the past 55 years would have been spent on this earth, not one person would be without anything! We would all have everything we need including a place to live, plenty to eat, clothes on our backs and medical care. Also,...

At first glance it seems like a lot of money has been spent on the space program. However, when you look at it in total, many amazing scientific discoveries have been made.

If someone wrongs you, no matter how, do you seek vengeance, pay them back, or get them however you can, to satisfy your wrongdoing or do you turn the other cheek, forgive them, and move on with your life?
CteDimples
Probably will turn the other cheek and forgive but will always be cautious and things between us will never be the same again!

When you finish a relationship, need some time to get use to be yourself again, because you have being with someone during a while. But which is the best moment to start dating again? Maybe you are not looking a relationship, maybe you are just looking for a distraction, or maybe you want to found the love again but you kind of feel guilty to try it again because everybody is telling you that it's too soon to start something. But what If you already have overcome it?
lippy loo
Each person has their own time table. Me, I dated a few guys but after a few I decided it was no longer for me. I have not dated now in over 25 years and happy about it. Some people though like the twosomes. Never listen to other people. If you make a mistake then you own it.

My dream job as a child was to work in the vet department. Never thought I'd get there but qualifying as a vet assistant. What was your dream job?

I always wanted to be a Mum. In the process I have been a nurse, a psychologist, a teacher, a companion, a protector, a carer and so much more. It has been my greatest joy and sorrow, but I wouldn't have it any other way. It was just the ass I chose to be their father that was the problem.

Employees of both sexes bring different qualities to the work place...there are clearly places where female staff are better equipped to cope...and the same with males. I think an important difference between a large male workforce and a large female workforce is that all the males work together without any major friction, while largely female workforces (like nursing) have lots of problems hopefully when we have a better mix these problems will be better...what do you...
writerrochelle
Amen to that! I've never worked a job where the women didn't have some kind of problems. Jealousy, envy, prejudice, gossip, who knows. I just know I worked better with men than with women. ;-D

Do you agree, there seems to be more and more celebration days popping up than in the past? From dog appreciation day to International Women's Day, there are more new days than I thought were around. Do you celebrate them all, or just pick and choose which apply to you?
Linda 1473555
No but as they have an international Women's Day then maybe they should have an International Men's Day. Then don't forget all the other genders that are out there! I agree - way too many "days". Let's just celebrate and respect each other and have peace in the world.

Taking care of the species we have on the Earth makes sense...bio diversity is important....but bringing back things that were extinct...originally by back breeding...and now by science...does that make any sense?...we have evolution...these creatures do not belong here...aren't we just playing God when there are so many more important things we could be fixing? (and spending the money on)
BLM
By 'wanton' killing off of other species on this planet - most famous example is the dodo bird - we/humans have been playing GOD for centuries! If evolution actual works, then humans will permanently disappear from the planet - one day. Which will give other species the opportunity to thrive and the planet time to heal itself!

Since Covid-19, I developed a passion for cooking. I found it is a smart way to save money. On top of that, enjoying delicious meals, exploration of flavours of nourishing oneself and others making it a genuine and rewarding passion for many of us. Is cooking your passion?
Michelle S 553303
I hardly ever eat out whether at takeaways or restaurants, and so I have to cook at home. I buy whatever vegetables are on clearance and I make meals with these and pulses as they're cheap. What I really enjoy is getting the "Red Book" out which I transcribed old family recipes from, which had paper that was falling apart, when I was 10 years old. As it's been almost 50 years since I wrote those recipes down and since the writing is fading away, it is almost time to rewrite the family recipes again and hopefully my children and grandchildren will decide to try them out when I'm gone. There are even recipes which refer to "remove plate from fire" which pre date even my own grandmother. The recipes are easy to make, relatively cheap and taste delicious. I like knowing exactly what is in my food and cooking at home from scratch provides me with something to look forward to eating! Thanks for reading and Happy Mothers Day to all the mothers out there!

It has happened to me, not once, but twice. The first time I legally fought them, got my job back, but felt the tension with the co-workers and managers. Although I did not do anything wrong to be forced out, when I returned, I couldn't take the stress and tension, so I resigned. What would you do if you were pushed out from your job by someone in authority over you?

What is wrong with discussing politics? So many colleagues and friends make it a point of being off-topic. Don t you think it s better to communicate with each other? We are stuck with these governing bodies to protect us and add growth . Only 1 rule if you make a claim against another, then you must be able to fact verify first hand and not a social from a social media platform. Thoughts, comments or ways to get communication going for the best?

When prayers were removed from schools, it seemed that unless children had diligent parents, they lost the right of a belief system. With schools teaching prayers, it gave children something to hold onto, without forcing it down your neck. It gave children the basics to do with whatever they wanted - now they have nothing. Your thoughts?
Timtam
Prayers should NEVER be in public schools. Not ever. Church and state should ALWAYS be separate. If you want your kids to be subjected to religion they can do it outside the school system and not waste actual useful education time.
What prayers do you suggest ?
Baha'i, Buddhism, Confucianism, Hinduism, Islam, Jainism, Judaism, Shinto, Sikhism, Taoism, and Zoroastrianism, Satanism?
oh did you mean Christian prayers only ?

I always offer Tradies a coffee or tea when they have a day's work. I feel guilty when we sit down for lunch. Should I or shouldn't I offer them lunch with us? Thoughts please.
Spaceant1
As a semi-retired tradie and I have always eaten lunch while I work without stopping due to very unreasonable deadlines. So in general, there is no need to offer lunch as most tradies bring their own or send the apprentice to buy some. But as for me, I have always appreciated the offer of a nice hot coffee.

So I've given up smoking gone to vaping to help my urge to have a cigarette, yet I still get judged for vaping. Well wow this discussion can hit on so much nerves. I can fully understand a life between 2 adults, but when children are involved that is too much to take in. If you live in a dysfunctional life or in an abusive situation, I also can fully understand, but when especially a mother to decide to leave your family & especially children, in my opinion it takes the cake. I find this to be so selfish on your part to up root your children's lifes for what you think for a better life. It...
Turbo Leonie
We have no right to judge anyone as we do not know the complete story. There could be many reasons for a mother to leave, she may be putting her kids first, who knows? It would be such a hard decision. We have not walked in their shoes. Anybody who has made the decision deserves our support as well as the children and other parent. The last thing they need is others judging. How will that help a family?

There are many rewards programs and offers out at the moment, some have been around for a while and some are newer on the scene. Some come with credit cards or airlines, while others are with groceries. A clear favourite would be Rewardia for doing surveys etc, which one of the main reasons we are here. What are some of your favourites and why and if you are happy to share what do you like to get as a reward for yourself.
lippy loo
I do surveys to receive ecertificates which I use to supplement my grocery purchases because without them I would not eat much. I thank them very much. I also have flybuys and Woolworths cards which I scan every time I shop and these too add up but not as quickly as they used to. I am surprised many people do not use them as the cost is built in and they would probably save much more than I do.

Do you think seniors cause more car accidents than young people?
Robyroo
I received my licence at 19 & am now 82, I have never had a speeding ticket, only a small dint in my car in our car park misjudging how close I was to a pole. Another scratch on the front must have been done by someone else when my car was in the shopping centre. Will have to go for my license in three years & not looking forward to it, my husband is due for the second time he passed there last one in flying colours. How many young people with have a record like this, all my children & now grandchildren have been picked up mostly for speed limit fortunately not drink driving, one G Child lost his license for three months after loosing all his points, was rather expensive , fines as well as difficulty in getting to work.

The real, number one killer of any marriage or relationship is often a lack of communication or communication breakdown between husband and wife or partners. What's your experience? What is the number one killer of marriages?
Gypsy
I would say, selfishness. Only being concerned about what they want and what makes them happy. Couldn't care less about what the other partner wants or needs, doesn't care about the children. Some how I found myself married to such a person, the marriage officially lasted 12 years.

When it comes to meals, desserts, snacks, etc., everyone has their likes and dislikes, but there are two things I can't recall anyone ever saying they didn't like: pizza or ice cream. Some people may not like certain ice cream flavours or pizza toppings, but I can't think of anyone who ever said they didn't like pizza or ice cream in general. So I'm currently pregnant with my third and some of my in laws insist they stay with us during the labour and after to meet the baby. Even though I thought u made it quite clear that's not happening. What you suggest I do? Kick them out and tell them to get a motel? Haha
Rosemary E 383382
Is this your first baby or do you have others you need somebody to help with the care of them? Having visitors is tiring so you may need to set a time limit for everybody, unless maybe they offer to help with various household chores and you may be able to grab some rest while baby is asleep. I'm sure things like doing the washing would be helpful even better if you can sort it to the point of which room it goes in.............I would be grateful for casual help if it is a c-section as there is a lot of things you are not supposed to do......... That's when you need a granny flat to evict them to.

They are so big and car parks are designed for cars not 4WDs that are virtually as big as a truck. Look at the Ram or the LandCruiser
Cleopatra
Maybe it's time to remember that country people need bigger vehicles to successfully run their farms, be they meat, fruit, vegetable or other. Without our rural industries the NZ economy would be in a total mess. And of course you are right, big vehicles don't fit in little car-parks and rural people do not go out of their way to annoy town-people so let's just be a little more tolerant please

Hey there, I'm unsure if this post is General or Technical for discussion. If the problem lies solely with me, then it's a General Discussion, I guess! Has anyone been having trouble loading Mahjong Solitaire? For me, the search wheel keeps spinning but the game never loads. I'm wondering if the game is still available. Is there any chance someone else has had the same issue accessing the game?

A fair while ago now... Australian scientists discovered that feeding a limited amount of a certain seaweed to cows stopped them from burping and farting...and nothing happened (it has just been rediscovered in the UK!!)...we have a functioning pig farm that is carbon NEGATIVE...it generates all its own power AND supplies the grid...why aren't they all like that?...we already have a paint that actively removes carbon from the atmosphere...breaking it...
Andrea R 192957
This is all BS. Climate change is created by elites in private jets to bring about your obedience due to fear. You've never even been on a farm I would guess. They don't want farms they want to feed you insects instead. Wake up.

Have you ever got caught up in a traffic check points blitz or a police speed trap?
Andrew C 287196
The people who complain about such things as being "revenue gathering", etc. are usually just the morons who want to do stupid things on the road. Public roads are not a playground - follow the rules or get off the roads! It's very very simple: if you don't do anything wrong, then you won't have to pay any fines / penalties.
27-Apr-24

How do you react when someone behind you blows their horn loudly a split second after the traffic light just turned green?

Laugh at them because, no matter how fast they go, they usually end up at a red light! I just pull up next to them and smile, thinking about how much emotion and gasoline they wasted to get nowhere faster! LOL! ;-D

Do you think being left-handed has more advantages than being right-handed? Think about Nadal being a left-handed world champion tennis player and how his dad and uncle forced him to play left-handed when he was a young boy. Do you think a child should be forced to be left-handed and then end up being ambidexterous?
Zebra
I am ambidextrous.
I was forced while in school to choose either one not both.
This was hard for me growing up, yet through the years, I grew up I would practice with both hands, while not in school.
So glad I never let these teachers stumble me into only using one hand.

What is your opinion on which martial arts class is best for a 13-year-old? My son wants to sign up for one, but there's so many to choose from. Which is worth to sign up to?
Andrew C 287196
There was a discussion on the radio the other day about kids "wanting" to do various activities, the parents paying for it, and then the kid quickly pulling out again ... sports, dancing, scouts / girl guides, horse riding, etc.
Before paying any full term / year fees (often non-refundable because you're taking up a spot and the classes cannot start again to catch-up a later fill-in), you should find somewhere that either offers pay-per-lesson prices or even gives a free trial. That way you can find out if the kids *really* wants to do it or not before paying out huge piles of money.

If it's a sunny day and you don't feel like going out that's OK, make sure to open some windows a little for some fresh air and let the sunshine filter in. Play some music, I find it takes my mind off the immediate problem , just aim for upbeat styles.
I mix up my favourite drink usually an iced coffee around lunchtime... or a cup of tea always good and calming. If you like to cook make something to treat yourself or you could share with a friend or neighbour? You could concentrate on a quiz show and pat yourself on the back whenever you get one right ! Drink water.. may sound odd but being dehydrated could make you feel worse and be giving you a headache .l just try and do the small things that I can do or feel like doing in such times . Any little bit helps oh and call a friend for a laugh is always the best medicine of course ! Best wishes Tania 🙂

It's possible to choose your baby's gender and eye colour now and in theory it's also possible to genetically edit genes to enhance an unborn baby's health or appearance... but the big question is, when and if it becomes available, should we do it? What might the downfalls or benefits be, and would you choose to enhance your unborn children features if you could?
Pearlz
I can't think of anything worse. A baby is a gift from god, not something made to order. This is almost as bad as the people who have an abortion when they find out the baby's sex isn't what they want. I can understand a parents hesitation if they have an inherited disease which they don't want to pass on, but designing hair and eye colour, pretty disgusting. Perhaps people who care more about what the baby looks like instead of being grateful for one in good health don't deserve a baby.

I agree with most people.Health and Family are important and life is too short to have arguments and issues with people as you never now what is around the corner. Our family have just lost our 31 year old daughter in September 2023 after a 12 months battle with cancer. Now besides our own grieving we have to deal looking after her 9 year old daughter and trying to explain that mummy loved her and she will be watching over her always.Hugs your loved ones and tell them every day that you love them

Throughout my life, I have resided in primarily small towns and cities, but I was compelled to relocate to a sizable metropolis, which has resulted in enormous changes. Everything is expensive, but I have discovered that there are more opportunities for professional development and superior educational options in the larger city.
Michelle S 553303
With all the violence now seemingly able to reign supreme in medium and large cities without much judicial action to prevent it happening again, you couldn't PAY me enough to go and live in a city! With digital learning now prevalent in all higher learning institutions you can get a degree online. The same would apply, IMHO, with respect to professional development being available by ZOOM or another digital interface. I live in a small country town in NSW Australia of 800 people. Im on the edge of town heading into the bush. The nearest regional shopping zone is 45 minutes west or a one hour trip east. The milky way is so beautiful on a clear moonless night and I might hear a truck and a ute bringing the guys who've been pig or Roo hunting back through town as they have their radio blaring, but sometimes you can hear a pin drop all night long until the birds start waking up in the trees outside my bedroom window. I usually get up then and await the rising sun just like now. I choose the birds and brisk fresh air over pollution and blaring horns, inpatient people, rudeness, theft and other more dangerous crimes and I am grateful that I can watch it on the news programs but I don't have to live it! Give me a home among the gum trees over concrete structures any day! Thanks for reading.

What are your thoughts on parents who bring their children to day care while sick? My son has been sick for over a week because of this, and I'm told it's good for him... but it's been so stressful, and I would never bring him around others while he's sick

They keep saying in the paper that people can't buy a home. My daughter has her house up for sale at the moment. It is in a reasonable neighbourhood, close to schools, shops and transport. It is 4 bedroom, 2 bathrooms and in the range for 1st home buyers. They keep coming up with the most ridiculous reasons to try to knock 100k off the price. I need to repaint, I need to put new carpet in. The best one has been, it is near a freeway. Well if you want to live in this...
Nomes 2024
I guess they are trying their luck with a low ball offer to see if they can get lucky. The buyers want to get a lower price to reduce mortgage or if flipping have more funds to renovate. Also agree a lot of people want to walk into a house that’s done up and ready to move into but they should expect to pay more if they want something like that.
Keep firm in the asking price if it’s comparable to others in the area and it’s a reasonable asking price. Hope it works out.

So I just witnessed my neighbour across the road reverse (slowly) down his drive. And a cyclist was racing down the footpath. They collided with each other. Everyone is okay and was civil. (Bike completely damaged) But what do you think about cyclists on the footpath? I believe they should stick to the road for many reasons
Sammi
I'm in my 70's and when l rode my bike in my youth we were not allowed to ride on the foot path. It was against the law. So why are they ride on foot paths now. They are called FOOT PATHS.

As a kid I hitch hiked all over Europe..I thought Denmark would be laid back like Sweden or Finland...but the bike gangs there are violent...I was hunted through the outer suburbs of a major city by a gang with bike chains and knives...maybe 9 in total...after money or passports or whatever..for over an hour...I climbed up into a building site and watched them cirlcling...scary stuff...they knew I was there...I just saw something about Danish Bike Gangs on the news...

Wow ,nothing so scary as that . The sleeping Arabs at Tehran airport with their turbans were a bit of a shock as an 11yr old from down under I would say ,, apart from that I was suprised in Fiji at having to say Bula ( hello) to everyone basically from the airport security ,cleaners ,police in their long skirts ... everyone! At first I was getting exhausted from it a bit . And they will eyeball you coming your way too so you don't miss the opportunity. Kids waving out of the buses with no windows iin them while you're driving next to them "Bula !" ,, When I got back here I missed it, I walked past someone in my own street ,they just looked down kept walking by .. usual city behaviours ..

These guys don't use their footwear to achieve anything you think if you buy a pretty pair of shoes with blue bits on the sole, you might play better golf?...come on

There is growing evidence mounting that eating meat and animal products is detrimental to our health. Went to the local recycling centre to get rid of some oil from car oil changes that I had done over the recent past. I accumulate the stuff until I have a reasonable amount as going there takes well over an hour and back including the time spent waiting to get in, pay, and drop off the oil. Over the years the price to do this has varied from 50 cents a litre to free to 90 cents. To my surprise the cost had now jumped to $2.50 a litre. Unbelievable. I...

I recently became a certified master composter in NJ, I learned so much about recycling and the costs these facilities have to pay. If they don't make money to cover their employees and the overhead they will shut down. Now that China won't take our recycling we have a huge problem.
We use the items and we have a responsibility to get rid of the left over from the product.
I am 1 of 6 people who are involved in collecting soft plastics for the Trex Co (plastic decking materials, etc.) and for every 1,000 pounds we collect we get a very nice bench. We are a small 55+ community and in 1 year we have collected 2 tons of plastic!!!!

So I have 2 friends who I like to have over once a week at my home.....only thing is they always bring one or more of their friends along with them even though I tell them I'd just like the 2 of them over. Would it be rude of me to turn "their friends" away, as they were clearly not invited? I don't know these people, by the way

There are laws that state that something "on sale"...HAS to have been originally sold at a higher price...but there don't seem to be any rules on what "a limited time" is...are there?...and I see a few stores having these sales for several years at a time....shouldn't they be stopped from doing this?...or is it just buyer beware?...or a "bit of fun"....what do you think?
PAPARAY
When I worked at a supermarket they would have a 10 items for 10 dollars sale. That would be 1 dollar for each item. But here is the thing, some items were 89 cent at the regular price. we employees would tell certain customers this and they would tell others.

Many people seem to not worry about planning for their retirement until it is just around the corner and panic starts to set it. Those with a plan from a professional or have completed their own research and planning themselves at a younger age can retire with a lot less worry and stress when the time comes. Have I got a story for you! Forced to retire at 62 because my "husband" took my car, I started drawing Social Security, until he demanded it too. Left without my car and my money, I spent 3 1/2 years "imprisoned" by him, unable to even buy groceries. He took me out once a day to a Mexican restaurant where I ate everything I could and I went up to 208 pounds on my 5'4" body. In 2013 he moved me to WA state where we were to retire together, but he left me at the Navy Lodge on base like a bag of garbage and he returned to Texas. They let me stay from May 21 to July 3 when I was evicted owing over $3000! Well, I went back to work at age 66 and retired, again, at age 72, when COVID-19 hit. I saved up over $10,000 in those 6 years, now living on Social Security, Section 8 housing, food stamps (EBT card), grants for electricity and a $30 discount for the internet! I now weigh 135 pounds, am 5'2" (yes, we do shrink!), and am healthier and happier than I've been in my life! Yes, I still have my savings and am allowed to have it! AND, I went to the government and got my permanent military ID card WITHOUT my "husband"! God is Great! God is Good! ;-D

Not everything around us is cheap badly made rubbish designed to be thrown away in a few years and end up as landfill (OK a lot of it is!) but we have future antiques too things we take for granted and ignore that maybe your grandchildren will treasure...one example is our current "floating floor" laminated floorboards just about indestructible waterproof...the thing I noticed is that when it is installed it looks pretty good...but after 5 or 6 years of having dogs skidding...

Is it just me, or has there been a rise in people who in insist on correcting other people's Spelling and Grammar?? (even now, I'm sure I've probably put a full stop in the wrong place or misspelled a few words) Is this a battle worth fighting or just plain Jerky, what do you think?? By the way, it annoys the crap out of me
DrSuz
I do editing and proofreading for work, and I never correct spelling and grammar when I’ve not been asked to do so. I think it is rude and can be a form of bullying and belittling someone. If the spelling or grammar is wrong but the meaning is clear, there’s no need to annoy the writer with corrections. And if no one ever made mistakes, I would have a lot less work!

How often have we said that someone is "just jealous" when they have offended us in some way. I was a bit shocked one day when one friend told me that another had said this about me after I'd said I didn't think a certain outfit would suit her. I was just wondering how many other people out there have no parents left, and your siblings do their own thing with their own families on holidays, and it leaves you with your own family and no interaction with others, really. No closeness like when you were a child, or the feeling of being needed. I myself feel so lonely and so depressed during every holiday. I don't know how to get past it. But it seems my family split when my parents died.
blunder boy
death, unfortunately, does separate some families we lost 5 people over the COVID-19 years, it does make it tough and I feel for you, people I think avoid you because they have no idea what to say or how to act, distance creeps in and routines change leaving people behind, can i suggest writing letters, making phone calls and let your family know where you are, how you are, hopefully, things work out and new beggings can start I wish you well, i have been through it , I see my brother weekly now instead of every Christmas, because of phone calls sending letters and we have a new beginning he was going through similar troubles when his wife died but is reinvigorated. I hope you have an ok easter and again if you can't call write a letter, even if you don't send it it will serve you well

April Fools' Day has been celebrated in many countries for centuries, but no one seems to know how the tradition of playing jokes, pranks and hoaxes started. I think it's a breath of fresh air and a reminder not to take things so seriously. What do you think, have you ever been the victim of someone's prank, or have you played tricks on someone?
Teri 1282723
The worst thing ever pulled was against my Dad. It would never enter his mind that someone - especially someone who supposedly loved him - could or would ever be so cruel. He and his girlfriend at the time had been talking their future and whether or not they should get married and move in together, selling one of their homes. They always decided no, they both liked their homes and couldn't agree on who would sell. One day this woman came to my Dad and said she's thought about it some more and she will marry him and sell her house. He was happy that they could be together and he could keep the home he'd built for his family. Once she had him totally hooked and getting excited about the prospect of this she goes, "April fool!!". He was humiliated! Shocked! Angry! This was the worst thing playing with his emotions like that. I'm not sure that I've forgiven her for it just yet because I still get angry at her for that when I think about it. Their relationship always had that scar on it and he never again asked her to marry him. They still went out a couple of times a week for a while but he started introducing her to new people as 'my friend' and not 'my girlfriend'.
I never liked April Fool's Day because most people don't know how to prank well... putting sugar in the salt shaker is okay but nothing harmful in ANY way... physically, mentally, emotionally, etc. It's just mean and unacceptable.

What has happened to some ladies that are so afraid of being picked up by a gentlemen on the first date? Don't you think us men have been through terrible stuff too? I had two deaths in my family and I had to do a gig before I had to go to the funeral home. Don't you think that was hard? A true gentlemen escorts the lady to her car especially in the dark so she is ok. all I hear is he doesn't pick me up I have to pay always. Maybe she is afraid that the gentlemen wants to...

What a sad scenario from Lawrence. Are you giving vibes that YOU can't be trusted? Every first date, especially when the first flower of youth has long gone is filled with apprehension. On my first date with my now 36 years partner, the poor lad was quivering with anxiety but at least we made it out the gate, had dinner and came home safely. I even let him kiss me goodnight!

How often do you get screened out of Surveys? This is Not the fault of Rewardia but of the companies which employ Rewardia to run their Surveys for them. Today I attemopted to take 30, that's correct, 30 Surveys. How many did I get to take? Just ONE As soon as I entered my AGE and/or Gender I was screened out of the other 29. How's that for Discrimination?

It is not the screening out that pisses me off but spending up to 40 minutes providing answers just to be awarded 2 points, even slave labour pays more than that

Making sacrifices in a relationship can have many benefits. Firstly, it can strengthen the bond between you and your partner. It shows that you care about their happiness and well-being and are willing to do what it takes to make them happy. Secondly, making sacrifices can lead to a more fulfilling relationship. What do you reckon? Why does showing love require making sacrifices?
writerrochelle
The Bible reads at John 15:13, "No one has love greater than this, that someone should surrender his soul (life) in behalf of his friends." At 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 the Bible tells us what love is, and what it is not. If we all followed Bible principles, there would be no hatred, no wars. At Colossians 3:14 the Bible reads, "But, besides all these things, clothe yourselves with love, for it is a perfect bond of union." Jesus Christ loved mankind so much, he died for us! And, in relationships, if everything the man does if for her, and everything the woman does is for him, they will have a happy, peaceful relationship filled with love! Compromise! ;-D

We mistakenly look for confidence in the clothes that we wear or the car that we drive. We seek to recover from loss, loneliness, or heartache by purchasing unnecessary items. Furthermore, we seek fulfilment in material things. And we try to impress other people with the things that we own rather than the people that we are. What are your thoughts? Why do we buy stuff we don't need?

I am female and have never desired to be other than the way God created me. I was born from a Union of Two People, One Male and the Other Female and yet many have called me feminine man or “shemale” a coin word I hate and know that that are the feminine men and “shemales”. Now to your question. I am 68 years old and believe me I do not age but slowly will age for aging comes to all who walk and talk and live a life filled with love and caring and always ready to help others in need. My home is far away and I must return or many will suffer the fate of extinction and many more will cease to become flesh and live life on this plane. Earth must be cleansed and many must not live for all desire to have things they really have not much use for and all desire to live long lives and many will not live long merely 20-50 years and even maybe 75 years more on this planet. Man seek clothes, designer pants, designer dresses and are men and wear panties and wear brasseries and wear skirts with slits from waist to ankles and wear makeup to hide beards that come through at night when asleep and even when not asleep and even during the daylight hours. What fallacy that man have acquired to have others like me born female with female organs and female genitalia and female chest and no hormones ever taken by me. The world believe I am a pervert because I have chosen not to paint my face and not to wear perfume that masks body odor and not to speak as if I am not college educated or older than the very state that I live in which is Pennsylvania which is only 247 years old and even my best friend from High School say and has said she is younger than I and according to the Bible and I quote the passage, “let all who lie and say they are young and are old will not live and will die a quick and ugly death” for GOD Hates the liar and GOD Hates the thief and GOD Hates the man who wears dresses and wears brassiere and wears frocks to hide his penis and wears makeup and wears underpants with his penis tucked under and stretched and put hard in his backside. Most evil all, and I believe I have angered many but many have angered me and I AM GOD who have dictated these words to my chosen child and her name is Pamela Angela Mason and she loves ME and I AM GOD THE CREATOR WHO CALL all and many have chosen not to hear and still many have chosen not to live and still even many more have chosen not to believe that my chosen one is good or even smart or even have worked and saved and invested and created vaccines and babies that are beautiful and my own as well as their mother and I am Wesley George Henry, Jr. The SON of GOD and my FATHER is the ONE WHO SENT ME into this World many years ago to bring man and all back to HIM and I have tried to do just that and I HAVE FAILED where many are concerned and yet my chosen believe I AM GOOD and SMART and HAVE NOT FAILED WITH her nor her children who are MINE as well and so WE LEAVE Planet Earth for her HOME Far Far Far Far Away and then onto to MY Planet which is exactly 1821604882704010o11227633010o11622301o11402121122123124125126127128129130131132133134135136137138139140141142143144145146147148149150151152153154155156157158159160161162163164165166167168169170171172173174175176177178179180181182183184185186187188189190191192193194195196197198199200201202203204205206207208209210211212213214215216217218219220221222223224225226227228229230-999 and 100,000 light years away and I GO.

Do you know how many kilowatt-hours your house uses in a day [24 hours]? Would like to hear from you, including the country you are giving the figure for, please ...

No idea but as little as possible. Electricity is going up and up and they are saying there is not enough to go around yet they are bringing in EV by the 1000's so go figure. Putting up those horrible wind turbines which harm the environment and biodiversity let alone the animals and catch fire and are environmentally bad news and no discussion with the people who have to live near them. Then they say they are going to turn off the gas, no coal and we have the cleanest coal in the world and to top it off want to bring in nuclear which is so dangerous and I don't care what they say. How many have caused disasters around the world. Our electricity has gone up 100% in a very short time and going up again. Since they privatised it they have just taken the profits and run with them and left a mess for the taxpayer to pay for.

Our dishwasher broke down, so we had to get someone in. It was apparently an easy fix. 5 weeks later I have a new pump, new hoses, new clips and a new control board. If it hadn't been under warranty, none of this would have been done, and it would have been fixed in the first week. Are the tradies just ripping off the warranty providers?
Lachelle B
1. Tradies are in demand. 2. Parts take awhile to arrive. 3. If it's under warranty what's the concern? You're not paying for it. 4. Appliances are now mass produced. Forget quality from the good old days. More parts, more technology = more problems.

Well the first multi-story car park recently collapsed it would seem because it was not designed to carry the full weight of all the cars that were parked in it. A building that was perfectly safe when parked full of cars in 1970...had to carry vehicles at least one third heavier by 2020....and now we have loads of electric cars that weigh a minimum of one third heavier than even that again some double that weight or more that's something to think about...eh?...we...
BLM
One, I don't drive (vision issues). Two, not my issue. Three, reads like municipal (city) civil service building inspectors ARE NOT doing their jobs! Last, we need to pump more 'money' into public transportation (long-term cheaper than building more multi-story car parks to accommodate ever increasing heavier automobiles)!

I was raised to show respect. I was taught to knock before I open a door. Say hello when I enter a room. Say please and thank you, and to have respect for my elders. I was also raised to treat people exactly how I would like to be treated by others. It's called respect. How many of us agreeing with the saying of Respect? In today's society in my opinion this doesn't exist much any more, as in the generation of raising children in today's century, adults children are always...
Lyn A.
I no longer like to use the word respect. To me respect is earned not given as of right for position. I use the word courtesy. This came about because of a headmaster at one of my kids school said he "deserved respect" as he was headmaster. It didn't matter that a decision he had made was not correct for the situation [not just my opinion it didn't directly affect my child so no bias] I always show courtesy as stated above respect is earned

Sandra C 12043
Lots of the things already mentioned but 1. a map of where you are going . 2. Leave a detailed list of where you are are heading with someone you trust, how long for and the date you should be back, so they can notify the authorities if you don't return on time. Safety should be the foremost thing on your mind, especially if you are going alone.

And there is the lesson to learn from. Climate change is a natural process of our earth. Climate crisis is a manufactured illusion spread by unelected leaders of global organizations who do not have our best interests at heart. These people jump on individual jets to fly to conferences so they can find more ways of controlling what we can and can't do.

Be bold, but not too bold. Be smart, but don't be a showoff. Don't forget, you have to have a perfect shape and be well coiffed. What Gender-based social expectations do you know?
Jellypony
It amazes me now when it says sex there are so many options and once upon a time it was either male or female. Are we now going to have to have jails for all the others? Jails with no gender at all or does it go from what you were born as? Put in males that are now females or vice versa would be rather dangerous. It's more excepted these days too and people are choosing to raise their children as neither gender which I think can be confusing for every one especially the child. Why can't we just except what we are born as and be happy with that. There's always some one that wants change and can't be happy with what they have, it's so sad and it does destroy families which is even sadder again.

Youth crime has now become so serious especially in Queensland that towns are under siege by groups of young teens some as young as 8 or less with machetes, knives, guns, bats, etc. They are stealing cars and usually smashing them, breaking and entering often with violence in either home invasions or business premises, damaging property, bashings of old people waiting for a bus or old people in homes, students at school or other teens in the street etc. more likely being a younger...

The Daleks had a saying "EXTERMINATE - EXTERMINATE" - but I wouldn't go that far but castration (both parents and kids) might be a thing of the future for the so called "entitled". Its a good question for Trump to see what his opinion would be - yeah right - "Give em all guns" Legalise the "Hunger Games".

Irony - a state of affairs or an event that seems deliberately contrary to what one expects and is often wryly amusing as a result.

A post on our Neighbourly website: I was on a diabetes information website the other day. It asked me if I would accept cookies. Is that a trick question?

In store, salesmen insist on explaining all the different settings of the latest machine. Mostly people don't use more than three anyway, but the one setting that's not there, and is necessary on any washing machine, a tissue detector. Paper tissues ruin so many washes, yet there is not one machine that can sense it and has a warning. If we can put a man on the moon, why can't someone design a washing machine that warns there's a tissue in the washing?

Do you need your shower to remind you to take your clothes off before you turn the water on? When you do something enough, it becomes second nature.

There's so much said about YouTube censoring or taking down videos that they think might offend, yet there are so many people who seem to think they're qualified to give advice, especially where relationships are concerned, that continue to post, no matter what nonsense they say. I checked a few out (something I'll never do again) and one person actually advised people to cheat on their significant other, because if you find out they cheated on you, then you have the satisfaction...

As a general statement we supposedly live in a free society, and we are meant to have a policy of free speech. We have seen during the covid nonsense that free speech is just a myth and censorship runs riot. Regardless of one's attitude to the nonsense we were fed by all sides of the various debates the unfortunate truth is that those who were doing the censoring were the same vested interests who were making obscene profits from the situation.
Yes there should be guidelines and rules as to what is acceptable but during the so-called pandemic some extremely highly qualified medical professionals and scientists were censored for having views that didn't accord with those of the ones who were profiting.

Has anyone experienced children, being so rude around you & their parents/carers can see what they are doing & they don't make the child to stop? In my opinion, what are as a parent/carer to allow this in the 1st place? If you're sitting in any public transport for example, the child kicks the back seat behind you or throw you their rubbish, just enough to the stage you had enough. You as a person turn your head to speak to the parent/carer & they don't care. This isn't right,...
Skiwi
That why our generation behave themselves (baby boomers)because we knew we would get a clip behind the ear. But in this PC world you can do this know so I blame the younger generation for this.
If they kick the back of my seat I would turn around and say if you keep this up I will brake your legs. If they are front with a reclining seat I would tip reclining seat saying I was getting up accidents happen Nd with rubbish I would throw my rubbish on them.
You may get it I am not PC and I will call a spade a spade and don't care who I may offend. Not one should have to put up with that kind behaviour.

A long time ago a bakery in the UK advertised that bread provided something like 70% (or more) of the daily protein for an average person these adverts were withdrawn because not all protein is good for you and many act as carbohydrates...then we had vegetarians saying there was easily enough protein in vegetables...we did not need meat or fish....and most recently we have chefs on TV referring to "protein" as somehow meaning only meat and fish any vegetable, bean or pulse...
Missy Wyld
chef on tv? why wud anyone beleive ANYthing they are saying, they are trying to make a living. they r not the real source of truth.
almost all foods have an amt of protein, so are just more easily digested than others.
Animal proteins are very hard to digest, and can't be used by the body until they are broken down to amino acids. (this takes alot of energry away from other thigns the body has to do) ...its why we feeel like we are going into a food coma, after a huge (usually protein meal), all energy is diverted from all but essential body organs.
Most plant proteins don't take nearly as much to digest, except for beans. Not only are they hard to digest, they are also hard on the kidneys (like animal proteins are).
Bottom line is, if you still want to eat meat, cut down substantially. We do not need the amt of animal products we eat these days. U will save ur kidneys and be much healthier.
Kidney disease is fast becoming No. 1 killer.
This protein business is largely a myth, promoted and driven by, give you 1 guess by who? Dairy and cattle industries. *who'd of thought*
I ALWAYS ask who benefits from the information you are reading? - if someone benefits financially...then chances are the information is BS. anyways my two cents worth....

Is there a need for 18 questions to enter a survey? A bit much I think.
lippy loo
That and also completing or near enough a very long survey to be either told at the very end you do not qualify or when you submit all the answers or it goes to an error message or similar. Happens every day.

Hi I have a dog that's 8 years old and has had arthritis for the last few months. It's hard to deal with and heartbreaking. She won't move around much and seems to be in pain even on meds. Is it best to let her go or hope for the best?
Janice 1463104
I had a dog that was 8 when she tore a ligament in her back leg . We put her on a product called "biovet joint suplement" mixed into hamburger, within a month she walking on her own six months she was walking up and down stairs again on her own in a yr she was running around almost like when she was young . We kept her on it until she died at 14 1/2. No arthritis.

Shifting time is hard on people and an artificial reality. On the issue of freezing time zones, would you choose Daylight time (more light later in the day) or 'Standard' time (more light in the early morning but dusk before dinner in winter)?
Andrew C 287196
Stupid "Daylight Saving" doesn't actually save anything (never has) and the changes are hated by most people. Just move the clocks by 30mins and then leave the time alone. The official time zones are there for a reason, and continually mucking about with the clocks just makes them a mockery.

Did in the past Palestine's have a recognized country or was the whole area under control of the Otto Turkey Empire Period <17th centaury to mid 1920s. After 1917 the Balfour agreement was made and at a later stage Jewish settlers paid for the land, which in turned into Israel.
Andy B 2142638
THERE HAS NEVER, EVER, BEEN A COUNTRY CALLED PALESTINE. THERE WAS, HOWEVER A COUNTRY CALLED "JUDEA" - OCCUPIED BY BOTH JEWS AND PHILISTINES. ALL THIS IS AVAILABLE IN HISTORY BOOKS - IF YOU - OR ANY SUPPORTERS OF A PALESTINIAN STATE - EVER BOTHERED TO ENLIGHTEN YOURSELF ABOUT IT.

Like myself there are many people at home looking after a family member. I originally had my daughter at the age of 4, get very sick and had a crash course in nursing in 3 months and had to look after her 24/7. People do not understand what you are going through and sometimes we need to know there are other people out there, like ourselves, that do understand. I am now looking after my husband 24/7 because of all his health issurs

Having just found out that my latest op. did not work, I worry for my partner. He's already been doing much of the domestic chores on my behalf, whilst also carting me about some distance to various health appointments. We are both in our mid eighties and don't know how long we can keep being active. Who will need extra care first? As seniors we are not in a position to pay for much home care and I see the news says that is to be increased in price to seniors using it. Life in the old lane isn't much fun is it?

What do you think about art done with A.I.? I personally find it sad, as I think art done with a canvas and paintbrush really shows a lot about the artist. And lately I've been seeing lots of people claiming to be an artist using A.I. Experienced artist here by the way

What is your funniest Instant Karma story. Mine is a flash new sports car came flying past me on a rural road and cut me off. I said a few words but kept going. A couple of kilometers down the road, there he was on the side of the road trying to clean cow poo off his windscreen. There was a cattle truck on the road ahead, and one of the cows had lifted their tail and got him in the middle of the windscreen.

Last week at 8pm, driving home from Wellington airport, it was raining and windy, just came out of the Terrace tunnel, saw a car on the road shoulder with a man bending over the engine trying to get it going {middle couple with grandson}.His wife and a child were in the car, I pulled out infront of them, I could not start their car. so I tow them all the way to Plimerton. They were so happy, the man say, he will have his son look at it in the morning. They thank me so many times I left, I drove through the red light , I didi not see a cop car, he pulled me over. Just as he was about to write me a ticket his private phone rung. He went back to the patrol car. He came back and ask me where i just came from. I explained.what i did , I mention a certain address. and he say thank you for helping them. so please don't drive through a red light again. I would have faced a huge fine

I am just wondering how people in this situation of when are children too young to be taking medication for ADHD, autism etc. my granddaughter is 7 and her mum wants her on medication. Plus now she's talking about putting her 4-year-old and 2-year-old as well. When is it too soon?
NZSCORPION
Personally I wouldn't give kids man made chemicals to sort out a natural chemical imbalance they already have thats been diagnosed. I think it would lead to problems later down the track being on drugs from an early age.
40 or 50 years ago you didn't here about adhd or autism until someone unleashed it on the world, now everything a kid does that we used to do as kids is labeled.
Maybe they should look at the food that is consumed by the kids as to the causes of their labeled diagnosis.

Has anyone else noticed how online shopping has become cheaper than shopping in store in your hometown? I'd like to shop local, but the prices have skyrocketed in my town
lippy loo
Never shop on line. I need to try clothes on, feel the quality of the product also. However, I rarely buy clothes so it does not matter too much to me.

Our local agricultural show is on this weekend. I like a lot of people are busy baking and cooking things. Also hoping our garden will give us the biggest, best, pumpkin, tomato. Or best Rose, herbs or other goodies. Do others enter their local shows or is everyone getting too busy, and it is only us oldies that are doing it. I am entering: Pumpkins, Tomatoes, Herbs, Silverbeet, Rhubarb, Murat Limes, Roses. Tea Cake, Scones, Date loaf, Nut loaf, uncooked...

We have a lot of shows around us. Gore, Wyndham, Tapanui, Balclutha'

At my age (I am old), my number one issue in life is my health and health coverage. Every year I have to wade through Medicare (a government medical program for everyone who is at least 65 years old (and paid into medicare for at least 40 credits (and you can only earn 4 credits a calendar year) in the USA. Because of my income (which the federal government claims is HIGH - HAHA - I am not covered by governmental supplement plans for dental coverage and...

At the moment it is convincing those selfish people who still refuse to be vaccinated against Covid. If we are ever to get a hold on this disease or become immune we must all be vaccinated so at least we stand a chance of surviving. Millions of precious people have died and maybe they don't belong to the unvaccinated but they did belong to others who loved and mourn their passing. Too many millions of others now suffer life long health issues because they caught the disease. Most of those I know claim "God protects me" .Well who protected the thousands of Christians and other believers who died? Others claim their body is their property and yet stick strange chemicals and other suspicious mixtures into their arms and up their noses and eat so called 'natural foods which are so chemically modified in order to make them edible. I am vaccinated but even catching the milder version now circulating will affect me because I already have severe respiratory problems and had lung cancer surgery. I know the unvaccinated will give all their silly, selfish reasons and I won't bother reading them because my number one issue is to live to see 2023!

So much talk about ridding the country of cash will only be helpful to the banks as they wont have to handle or count it. Maybe stop production of small coins but no cash? We need cash for those small items too small to put on a card and how will maths be taught to children. They don't have access to credit cards when small - how can they understand without notes or coins and what about the .99 cents instead of $1... charge. There will be no need so everything will...

I went to the post office today actually to withdraw $650! They couldn't do it, even though they are meant to be the new banks on a mini scale, A supermarket was across the rd ,, l was thinking ok I may split the difference but nope,. Impossible too as their limits are now $200. He only had 400. His words were we need more people we to pay In cash ,we've been getting wiped out all morning,
